Reviews For Child's Play
As for Snape and Sirius - well, Snape NEVER lets go of a grudge, and Sirius isn't all that stable. If he doesn't find something useful and demanding to do, he'll end up just like he did in the Ministry of Magic. I really don't think either of them will ever act like adults to each other.
I read this the other day and I thought I had reviewed it. I've been sick this week and out of sorts -- I saw this story again today and was trying to figure out HOW I knew it... it wasn't until I saw the title of the last chapter that I realized what it was and took a glance at the reviews... only to see I never left one :( Sorry about that. This was a really good chapter. You definitely write his age very well, so kudos to you! I can't wait to see another chapter and I hope you find the time to write again soon.
OMG!! What an adorable chapter!! I love that Snape just held Harry through his tantrum, and I can't wait to see how Harry wages his "Big Boy" war against Severus!! I'm sorry I haven't reviewed before, but I really do love this story - I'm in dread over the Pickle boys - and I'm hoping they get saved (and soon!)! I'm also glad that Draco has placed himself on the Light!Side, even if he didn't really realize that's what he was doing at first!! Your Tot!Harry is an absolute sweetie, and your Severus is amazingly patient, although snarky as ever!! I love that Harry calls him "the batman" in his little head, and "Nape" out loud!! This is a terrific story, and I'm eagerly looking forward to more!! Scarlett
I think the way Snape's handling Harry is perfect. You show him struggling with inexperience without making him an idiot. And you have him snap occassionally, but he's really been patient. I'm sure if Snape was parent of the month or something, there was probably a better way for him to handle the bottle situation... but really, what parent is like that anyway? I think your toddler Harry is absolutely adorable. I love his thoughts (I think I've said this in other reviews on fanfiction.net) Your little baby fic is quickly becoming one of my most favorites and I look forward to seeing your updates!
I've been sitting here reading all day, I'm supposed to be cleaning but I couldn't stop reading.. I really like the story. Draco's growing on me, yeah, I think he might react like that, now that I think of it.. I like how Snape and Harry get along better, Snape's soft moments..
Awww, so cute! Such a sweet chapter. I really enjoy and love your writing. I LOVED this line (as well as others) Not only had he been constantly clutching a stuffed canary and throwing a tantrum at the drop of a hat, but he was also wearing a nappy – and had had it changed by Snape! The only consolation to Harry was that he had, on one occasion, weed right in his potions teachers face – that had actually been very amusing. Haha! Poor Harry! But at least he got Snape- oh, how amusing. Great writing, seriously. I really love the plot development too. Thanks so much for sharing this story with me!

Author's Response: I see from other reviews you've left that you're a Draco hater. That's one interpretation, but I would point you to HBP when he was unable to go through with the murder of Dumbledore. I feel that in book seven he's going to have the kind of redemptive moment that Snape might and it is this side of his character that I am interested in exploring. One dimensional panto-style 'baddies' or 'goodies' are to me bland and uninteresting. Thanks for the review |
