I like the last two lines -- Snape threatening to put fire to the parchment, and Harry grinning (impishly in my mind, lol). Good chapter, really good! ^^
I like how Harry thought Hermione was going to take the healing balm away. Harry never has gotten anything from anyone, so it's understandable -- especially now, what with being attacked and all -- that he got possessive over the "gift". ^^
I love how Snape is so in character. Good job! *grin*

Wow. So I'm rereading seeing as how you just started the sequel and I want to be caught up, and I'm thinking there could be a nice, or interesting, scene in the future is Harry meets Jakob. This is such a great chapter, I love how you have Severus handle Harry comforting him.
