That chapter was a doozy. I liked your changes to canon history. It was an interesting twist unlike any I've ever seen before.
This was a touching and cathartic chapter.
POWERFUL!!! Not a false note throughout! I kept bracing myself for the backstory to go away, but it never did -- it kept building and building into an incredibly solid structure, and I'm absolutely delighted with the ending between Harry and Snape! Now, on to the finale...

Damn, I've reached the end already. Awesome story, you had me sucked in from the beginning.
That part in this chapter, "Why did you have to make me trust you?” Heartbreaking.
