Excellent start! I hope that you complete this story because this challenge has been done but those were abandoned before finished. I am certainly looking forward to reading more so please update soon!

I like your non-cowed Harry who has figured out that it is better to just get through the summer with the least bother. I also think his reaction to Snape is in character for this point in the canon arc. He can't help helping Snape, but he doesn't like him and he will have to work through his anger before he can show more compassion.
I'm looking forward to where you take this story.
Author's Response: Thanks, sunsethill. As a reader, my favorite stories are ones in which you can actually believe the characters' developments. Too much, too fast just isn't real life. Whoo! Great start! I LOVED this line: "He couldn’t help feeling some satisfaction at how sore Snape’s bum was going to be when he awoke." Muah ha ha! :) I noticed that this was under the Mentor category. I can't wait to read more! Thanks for starting it!
