Very good. I think a lot of Snape-goes-to-Privet-Drive scenes tend to be a bit overdone. This is nice and restrained, and realistic. I still love your Dumbledore, and Snape's great.
I wonder who will get stuck staying with Harry all summer. I feel sort of sorry for that person. :-)

Wow! I have to say that while I was initially a little turned off by the use of present tense (which I've often seen badly handled) you pull it off without a hitch that I could spot.
I love the characterization of Snape; I can really hear your lines coming out of his mouth, and I appreciate the fact that you are able to capture the bitter, acerbic, and often downright nasty part of his nature--not turning him into some kind of maudlin caricature--while acknowledging his more noble impulses as well.
Oh, and I have to say I *love* the line, "I know what a car is, Potter. I am a wizard, not a troglodyte." Laughed my ass off reading that.
So, I'm *really* hoping that the long lag between chapters doesn't bode ill for the completion of the story, and that there'll be more to come soon.
Great story cant wait to read more.

THANK YOU! I've read your story in one night, it's wonderful! My favourite scene is when Snape in his office tries to find out what's the matter.
But I've a question: how could Potter cast a glamour during the holidays? Magic is not permitted in summer?

Oh, this is good! I had gotten a bit tired of Harry-beaten-by-Dursleys stories, because they tend to all seem the same after a while, but this is so well written that it didn't matter.

Wonderful story, I do look forward to more excellent chapters to come
I adore this story! It's so brilliantly written and spectacularly in-character. Plus quirky, I don't think I've smiled at the computer screen so much in my life - people who walk in think I'm just a little bit odd. And I adore the 'good cop, bad cop' aspect of Dumbledore and Snape's relationship, it's so appropriate. I look forward to the continuation!
That was a very fun chapter. One of my new all time favorite pastimes will be "intimidate Dursley". :)
