Awww! Severus is really doing a good job taking care of Harry, especially that he wants to and means it all now. On that topic, you're doing a great job of writing everyone. Great characterization and everything!!
I really like the end you came up with for Lucius. It suits him lots, that he's now a squib. And, Go Harry! I was so excited while reading those parts! It was great!!
I also hope that Harry accepts Severus' offer of having him talk to Ron and Hermione. Hopefully, this will ease Harry's transition into the school year. One thing that could make it interesting, though, would be if Draco isn't to happy about his dad being a squib...poor Draco. But with all the new spells and defences that Harry and Severus are going to be working on, Harry will be able to kick Draco's butt from around the corner, right?
Really good story and I can't wait for the next installment. And of course, for the sequel!!

excellent story, I really enjoyed reading this.
Loved it :) A great chapter. I'm getting quite anxious for the sequel...wondering how Harry will cope among people. I seriously can't wait.
A kick in the teeth indeed. As much as I love your action chapters, I love these chapters more. Full of reflection and nice little conversations. It all makes me very happy.
I don't know why, but I keep missing chapter updates. I didn't realise chapter 39 was out until 40 was up. Doesn't matter too much, because I get two chapter hits in a row! But it's weird.
Severus is such a softie, offering to talk to Harry's friends! I hope Harry accepts, that would be a nice scene.

Thank goodness! I have to say, I wasn't looking forward to a chapter chalked full of Snape's wrath towards Dumbledore. I'm glad it was all resolved either way, though :) I've never imagined Lucius as a Squib before... me likey. Lol. It's possibly the worst thing that could ever happen to him, and he deserves every moment of it.
Now I'm really looking forward to Ron and Hermione showing up. This'll be good :D

I just love your Severus and Harry chats - you manage to keep both of them IC, and yet you give us a glimpse at theirs softer sides that are growing closer to each other!! Harry really does need someone to take care of him and put his needs first, and Severus need to have someone to take care of so he doesn't turn into a complete git!!

That had to be my favorite line in this chapter. I just adore how Severus is so protective of Harry now. This was a really sweet chapter. I don't know how you get them out so fast and keep them so consistently well written.
Glad Lucius got what he deserved! And looking forward to the end of this story...but glad there's a sequel in the works!
awww he admitted he likes Harry. That was a huge step for Severus. I loved the fact that Severus offered to talk to Ron and Hermione about what happened to Harry over the summer and I think Harry is going to make great gains in his recovery as well, especially with Severus looking out for him. I'm really glad that Severus was overprotective of Harry in these beginning stages of recovery, and didn't just blow it off and let him do whatever he wanted, like he didn't matter. Wether Harry knows it or not, it's an important part of making him feel better subconciously. Awesome chapter, keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next chapter and the sequel very much. I think that is one of the most fitting ends I have read for Lucius. Hmm...a homeless muggle... *happiness*

An excellent chapter as usual! Did Harry really kill his taste buds or something? becuase I'm thinking that most teens would never dream of touching liver and onions! Eww... I get sick just thinking about it!
