that was sooooooooooo cool. i like snape i think hes cool. so plezz make more chapters.
Author's Response: I have the base plotline for at least the next two chapters already laid out, so no worries there. As soon as I have time to put them together in story form, I'll have them up. Severus is a pretty awesome character, he's one of my favorites. :)

Author's Response: I try to keep it interesting with twists on the canon. Because, of course, with the change in perspective comes a slight or sometimes even drastic change in the course of events -- or at least in how the characters look at them.

Very enjoyable story. I just read it today. I take it Dumbledore was on Voldemort's trail in Albania. Interesting having Rita learn of his travels. I'm curious as to where you'll go with that.
Author's Response: Rita is a pretty interesting character who I think might have actually been a little under-utilized in the canon series. I always thought her uncanny knack for finding out things she wasn't supposed to know might come in handy as a plot device, particularly with the conveyance of somewhat sensitive information.

*very* promising start. I especially like how you've got Snape warming up to Harry rather slowly instead of rushing things as many authors do. keep it up!
Author's Response: Wow, thank you. I'm glad you think so, and I'm working at keeping it that way. I think it works better with the earlier timeframe, so neither of them are quite so set in their dislike just yet.

Great chapter, great development! I liked how you fit Death Hallows background in it. I'm enjoying your Snape and your Harry- they are a different take on their canon selves.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm trying to keep their mind-sets close to their canon ones and sort of bring them along so that they slowly began to look at things differently. I think it's considerably easier with a younger Harry who is less set in the idea that Severus Snape abhors him completely and unconditionally. And of course it's less of a leap for Severus, too, who hasn't had quite so long to pick out a thousand and one things about Harry that even slightly resemble James.
