Reviews For Harry Potter and the Potions Professor
I love how you keep Snape in character. He's still the same grumpy guy we all love. :) Great chappie, as usual. :)
Thank you for writing this story I'm enjoying it muchly, :P Author's Response: Thank you for reading! Recovery time coming up!
Author's Response: Thanks, I didn't want Severus to have to keep spying--partly because I don't want that to be a reason for him to try not to become close to Harry, and partly because, as you said, he's going to be busy helping Harry from now on.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm happy you liked it!
Author's Response: Thank you again, Jan! I just love hurt/comfort and mush! And I thought that the Weasleys and Hermione would want to be there for Harry. Who knows--maybe subconsciously realizing he's safe and with people who love him will keep him from being permanently damaged by the DEs treatment. I'm glad you liked the image of Snape holding Harry and Apparating away under Voldemort's nose. That was one of the images that I had when I first began planning the story, and it just grabbed me and demanded to be written. And it means Severus' role as a spy is pretty much shot so now he'll have to help the war effort in a new way. And yep, the curse wounds will be healed eventually, but not before he's had lots of time to recover in Snape's quarters!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Of course they had to get Harry out on time, or there wouldn't be very much story, but he's still got plenty of adventures ahead--hopefully, more pleasant than being tortured by DEs though!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you like the characterizations, and it will be more of Harry's POV as the story goes along.
Author's Response: Wow, thanks! I'm really glad you're enjoying it! I don't think I could write anything really gory--it was hard enough writing that violent scene as it was. I can hardly bear torture scenes, and prefer to sort skip over them and get on to the recovery, and hurt/comfort parts. Yes, so far the story has been mostly Snape's POV, which I felt was kind of necessary to get the points across that I wanted to in these first chapters. As the story goes on, I think it will become more through Harry's eyes, but I will alternate POV between the two of them.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you're enjoying the story! It is a guardian fic, but I debated long and hard about whether it should be guardian or mentor. I'm glad you liked my characterizations, and I hope you will continue to, but I have to admit I do plan on Severus and Harry becoming close. I love mush, I just can't help it! Severus will not officially adopt Harry or become his legal guardian, but they will both come to see Severus as a protector and guardian figure. Although I suppose the mentor category would have worked too, as they will work together and learn from one another. There is a reason why Voldemort didn't contact Severus when Harry was captured, and I will touch on it in the next chapter, or possibly chapter 6. Thanks again! |
