Thanks again!  Harry does have a willingness to sacrifice his own desires if he thinks it would be better for others (canon Harry breaking up with Ginny so she wouldn't be in danger comes to mind), and after Sirius' death and especially after his own kidnapping, I do believe that Harry would think that the best way to protect his friends is to break things off with them.  The other side of this, though, is that people have a right to decide for themselves if they're willing to be in danger, and Ron and Hermione love Harry enough that they're willing to take the risk.  It's also a bit late for all that now.  It's not exactly a secret who Harry's closest friends are.  But I agree that the Trio's friendship is a beautiful thing, and I love them all.

Oh, and Dumbledore will take Harry and Severus off to the cave for the locket horcrux at the end of the story.  Hmm, I guess that was a spoiler for my own story, huh?  But I did say I want to write a Deathly Hallows AU, too, where Severus is helping Harry and Co. destroy the horcruxes so maybe it's not too much of a spoiler.
