That was a really wonderful chapter. I'm so glad they got to this point. I loved every minute of the bonding they did when Harry was feeling sad over Sirius. Snape was great!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really glad they got to this point too! While no one can ever replace Sirius of course, Harry still needs someone who can watch out for him and help him and love him. And he'll give a lot back to Severus, too.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it! It's hard for me to tell about Severus sometimes, because in canon he never did warm up to Harry, so I often feel like I'm just guessing about him, so I'm glad you think he's right.
Another great chapter - I loved the interaction between Severus and Harry here. How good that Severus could help Harry with his nightmare and his dreams! Looking forward to more :-)

Shelock Holmes was my first great fictional love, so it has always made sense to me that I also fell madly in love with Severus Snape. They even both have weird first names. ;-) At first I thought Snape was going to talk to Harry about guardianship in this chapter--and was thinking "No, it's WAY too early." So I'm glad it was only a discussion about using his first name. That makes sense at this point.
Author's Response: Thank you! And I agree, it's a bit early for the guardianship talk. Actually, I don't know that I'm going to make Severus into Harry's legal guardian; it may be 'unofficial' although they will both come to regard themselves as family. Anyway, I did think it was time for the 'first name talk' though.
Yay! I was wondering when Snape would tell Harry to call him by his first name. That's good that they are getting along. Keep up the outstanding work!
