Reviews For Harry Potter and the Potions Professor
It was smart of Hermione to use the mirror to contact Snape, and luckily Dumbledore was there at the time. I also like how you continue to add cannon facts to the story while keeping it your own. It was also great to see Severus come to terms with his and Harry's relationship, to also see what he wants out of that relationship as well. I'm just glad that I don't have to wait for another update but can keep reading, so if you'll excuse me... Author's Response: I'm so glad you found it! Your comments are always fun to read! Youknew that mirror was going to come in handy, didn't you? I laid it on pretty thick. Yep, Severus and Harry just continue to make progress, but there are still some bumps in the road ahead.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try to update by the weekend, okay? It's the best I can do!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll try to update as quickly as I can!
Loved this chapter and the previous one too. I loved especially the "dad" part. That was pretty great. Awesome. I hope Harry's alright, though. Hurry with the next chapter, please! Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'll try to update again by the weekend!
Author's Response: Thank you, and Happy New Year to you, too! Well, at least Harry isn't really conscious for all this with the cursed necklace. He won't remember the screaming and convulsions, so that's a lot better than if he was aware of it. I'm really very soft-hearted and can't bear torture scenes. The little bit I wrote way back in ch. 3, or maybe it was ch.4, was all I could manage, and I could barely stand that. I usually have to skip the torture scenes. You do have a point, with the possibility of the parcel being a portkey, but thankfully it wasn't one. And I don't know if I made this clear, but Harry didn't actually open the wrapping to see what was inside. He turned it over in his hands; there happened to be a small rip in the paper, and Harry's fingers brushed against it. Very similar to what happened with Katie Bell in HBP. I'm so glad you like Severus. I think I've softened him up considerably from canon, but I just can't help it. Thanks again!
So glad Severus has seen the error of his ways with Harry. And that Hermione had the sense to use the mirror. Hope you're writing fast because we need the next chapter NOW! Hee hee... Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, I made it pretty obvious that Harry was going to need that mirror, didn't I? I'm re-decorating my daughter's room and will probably be pretty busy with that for a couple days, but I hope to update again by next weekend, or at least on Saturday or Sunday.
Author's Response: Wow, thank you! I hardly know what to say, except that I'm very happy you found my story and are enjoying it! Thank you for leaving such a great review...I've got a big smile on my face reading it. You know, I've said all along that Severus' and Harry's relationship would remain unofficial...that they would become very close, but I would avoid Severus adopting Harry or becoming a legal guardian. But people keep mentioning it, and in the last day or so, I've begun to reconsider. So who knows? Maybe Harry will end up adopted after all. Anway, thanks again, so much!
And a great chapter as well... Your cliffie... well, I'm sure you will let Sev and Dumbledore heal him - otherwise you should add 'character's death' to your warnings *smiles* Anyway, thanks for the quick update, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter :-) Author's Response: Aw, but Teddy, there is a 'character death' warning for my story! Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Thank you! Well, in some ways Harry has it rough, but at least he isn't really conscious for any of this--he won't remember anything about being cursed, so that's better than if he was aware of it all. We've started re-decorating my daughter's room, so I won't have a chance to write for a few days, but I'll try to update before next weekend. |
