I think you are hitting your stride and feeling more comfortable. Snape could be seen to be changing too quickly, but showing us some of his inner monologue helps to keep it reasonable. I especially liked this line: "But Snape just shook his head and said calmly, "No, I've had quite enough today---breakfast, lunch, dinner," He shot a wry look at Harry. "Cake, ice cream.""
Author's Response: Thank you! I am feeling more comfortable with writing, plus feeling like I'm getting to fun parts to write. Maybe Severus is changing too quickly, but I just can't help it; I'm not a terribly patient person. Really, though, I think Severus' biggest problem was thinking that Harry is just like James--arrogant and spoiled and thinking he's above the rules (at least that's Severus' impression of James). Once he accepted that Harry is not like that, he was more open to getting to know him and becoming more civil.
Oh, Snape is really getting nice - playing chess with Harry in the middle of the night is an immense progress. Great chapter, I thoroughly enjoyed it - keep on posting faster, good idea :-)
Author's Response: Thank you! Severus couldn't help feeling a bit sympathetic with Harry and realized that a distraction would be help him to get the nightmare off his mind. Oh, I don't think I can post any faster, but thanks!

Hey, I liked that chapter! Alot! Then again, I always like the chapters where snape strarts to be nice...Hehehe. Oh well, again, that was a good chapter. Update soon!

Great Chapter! I'm really pleased with Severus and Harry's relationship. It's great that Severus now sees more Lily in him rather than James. Great chapter! Ohmigosh, I love it when you described how Harry was feeling when they were talking about Umbridge. I also love how Harry almost cried because he never had a birthday! I love things like that -- I need more! *grin* hahaha
