Reviews For Harry Potter and the Potions Professor
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, Severus' world is starting to turn upside down, and really, it's going to be a very good thing for him, but just at the moment he's a little bit unsettled by it. Thanks again!
Great chapter! I really did love the Snape/Harry interaction. Everyone was characterized perfectly. Really good job with Snape countering Harry's thoughts about Ron and Hermione. Just a question, in J.K.'s books, dosen't Harry have to stay at the Dursley's until after his birthday? Dosen't he usually spend the last two weeks of summer at the Burrow? So, why did he leave earlier, and how long was he unconscious? Write, write, write!! Author's Response: You know, at this point, I think Severus would prefer to think he's going mad. Snape and Harry are such fun to write---I'm so happy that I decided to try writing again because I'm having a ball with them! I'm glad you enjoyed it. To answer your question, I don't have "Half-Blood Prince" with me right now, but I think Harry only stayed at the Dursleys for two weeks that summer and then Dumbledore took him to the Burrow for the rest of the holidays. I assumed it was because he knew that Harry was grieving for Sirius and was trying to make up to him a little for the terrible year Harry had had in OotP. I think the Burrow had some extra magical protections around it. Maybe someone who knows for sure could confirm that? In any case, that's why I had Harry at the Burrow earlier too. Terrible as this sounds, I would have to go back and re-read and count how many days Harry has been awake at this point in my story. Two or three days, I think? He was kidnapped just before his birthday, and its now August 10th, so he was unconscious for a about a week or a little longer. I'm going to take a day or two off from writing, and then begin chapter 9. And thanks so much! I loved reading your reviews!
Author's Response: You're welcome! And thank you for all your reviews! I really enjoyed this chapter--writing the personal interactions is the fun stuff, and I'm glad you liked it!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you! What Dumbledore knows will eventually be revealed, but it will be a while. And Severus does indeed have something to do with Harry not being able to break off his friendships--that will probably be in chapter 8.
muah hahhaha! hes warming up! Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you liked it! Yep, ole Sevvie never's going to be the same again!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And now that he understands what Harry has been through, it will become easier and easier for Severus to empathize with him. I really do think that Harry can't be blamed too much for his feelings for Severus because after all, Severus began their enmity and he is the adult and bears more responsibility for it than Harry. But Harry does have a kind, forgiving heart and once he sees that Severus really would like to make amends, he should respond in kind.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I love foreshadowing (didn't say I was good at writing it, but I try), and I enjoyed the Snape moment, too!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really glad you love the story. It makes my day!
Author's Response: Hi, and thanks! Severus doesn't actually dislike Harry as much as he thinks he does right now (if that makes any sense). He just finds it hard to imagine liking him, but it will continue to creep up on him. |
