Reviews For Harry Potter and the Potions Professor
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you're enjoying the story! It is a guardian fic, but I debated long and hard about whether it should be guardian or mentor. I'm glad you liked my characterizations, and I hope you will continue to, but I have to admit I do plan on Severus and Harry becoming close. I love mush, I just can't help it! Severus will not officially adopt Harry or become his legal guardian, but they will both come to see Severus as a protector and guardian figure. Although I suppose the mentor category would have worked too, as they will work together and learn from one another. There is a reason why Voldemort didn't contact Severus when Harry was captured, and I will touch on it in the next chapter, or possibly chapter 6. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Sorry for leaving you hanging about Harry's condition, but the next couple of chapters will deal more with his recovery. Tell Ron and Hermione 'hello' for me if you see them in the Great Hall. And thank you!
Author's Response: I'm thrilled you liked it! Action sequences are hard for me, and I'm dancing with joy at the knowledge that you enjoyed it. I enjoy writing mushy scenes much more so that's something I have to watch out for. I wanted Harry to have to recover in Snape's quarters because it's so much easier for them to get to know one another with that enforced contact. Chapter 5 will probably be up this weekend. Thankyou again!
Well done! Now I have to eagerly wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thank you, Jan! Poor Harry indeed. I think he's got a rough year ahead of him, although I think he would say it was worth it in the end. As for the mind connection, there is a reason for it, although I'm not sure how good a reason it really is, and it will left rather vague for a time. Glad you liked Snapey!
Author's Response: Thank you! I will try to post the next chapter as soon as I can!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you liked it!
Author's Response: Thank you so, so much! I have been very nervous about getting into writing again--I wrote a good bit in the SW fandom, but that's been a few years ago, and I wasn't sure at all if I could still write anything worthwhile. So your kind words are very encouraging for me! And yes, poor Harry--he does have it rough, but where would we be without the DEs to provide some action? And with the DEs, you can continue the story after DH. After all, Dumbledore said some of them were almost as bad as Voldy himself (and personally, I think I might rather face Voldy than Bellatrix), and some of them are bound to still be on the loose. I'm glad you like the mind link--it will come into play later as well. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked the mind connection--I wasn't sure about it, but I thought of a couple of other scenes in the future where the mind connection will come into play again. I'm quite ambitious and have a whole trilogy planned, lol-- this one, an AU of "Deathly Hallows" with Snape helping Harry, and an AU of the year after DH. I just hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!
Author's Response: Thank you! And Snape can tell where Harry is because he recognized the room with the dais and the throne-like chair. He's been there before at DE meetings. I'll try to get ch. 4 asap.
Author's Response: Thank you! Chapter 3 should be up tonight or tomorrow. |
