Good chapter. Don't feel too bad about having Harry rush into danger again. I can actually see Harry doing that in the stress of his emotions. He's still a boy. Intellectually he may know that leaving Grimmauld Place wasn't smart, but many of us have problems thinking things through when we're upset.
And everything turned out OK so maybe this will really help to get the lesson through to Harry to think before he acts.

another grteat chapter, with a lot of emotion from both severus and harry but mainly by harry, harry shouldn't of left hogwarts or tried to escape on a broom, that was very reckless of him but luckily dumbledore came in the nick of time and saved his and severuses life, can't wait for more
Author's Response: Thank you! No, Harry shouldn't have left, but he was so upset with Severus and needed to get away. GP itself was safe...it was leaving on the broom that was the big mistake, but I had to find a way to put Harry in danger so Sev could be injured trying to save him...that was the one thing that I thought would make Harry see that he really does love Severus, no matter his past mistakes.

Oh, Kristeh...why are you hurting me this way? I am so sad right now. Where is Harry going to go? I don't even think I can begin to guess. I am all teary. I really felt for Severus here, trying to push Harry away and Harry's pain as he thinks Sev doesn't want him anymore and then his joy when he thinks Severus wants to adopt him. *sob* Seriously. And the horrible pain as Harry realized the truth. Gah! My heart is in my throat. Update, update, update! I really hope Harry didn't go somewhere really stupid though I guess Sev would have heard where he sent himself and will be able to follow. *hopes*

Author's Response: Oh, now, OE...after all the angst and horrible cliffhangers that you've put us through with 'Lily's Charm'? Pot, meet kettle, you know. But I know, I'm so sad for both Sev and Harry at this point. It's incredibly hard and sad for them both, but I do think it was necessary to have this out before the adoption could proceed. Tell you what, I'll try to make up for it in chapter 29 with a lovely mushy scene with the guys. How about that?

wow what a wonderful fic, severus and harry are portrayed wonderfully in this, helping harry through his troubles and vice versa for harry, even ron and hermione have been supportive of them both, i hope severus hasn't ruined things for them both after telling harry about the prophecy he overheard as harry needs someone and so does severus.
have a good easter and keep writing this wonderful fic.

About Ron and Hermione, I do think they would be supportive of Harry and Severus, once they understood that Severus really had changed and cared for Harry, and that Harry has forgiven him. They're too good friends to let it come between them. Yeah, Harry and Severus do need each other, so hopefully they'll work things out soon. Thanks again!
*is stunned* You're a wonderful writer and I mean this in the best possible way, but...*begin rant* You're a horrible person, you know that? How could you end a chapter like that?! What's Harry feeling, besides horror? What's Snape thinking and feeling? (I could guess, of course, but that's beside the point!). Where did Harry Floo to? Dumbledore's office? The Burrow? Somewhere else?? How could you do this to us, your faithful, loyal readers??? You'd better update very soon! Or...or...well, or else!! *ends rant, looking a bit sheepish* Sorry about that...I'm not used to cliffhanger endings, and I honestly don't mind all that much, as long as I go ahead and move on to the next chapter...in fact, I almost like cliffhangers when I don't have to wait for the next chapter, and I tend to get a bit of a chuckle thinking about the poor souls who'd had to wait and suffer when that particular chapter first came out...so I suppose I'm only getting what I deserve, as I now have to wait and suffer...Anyway, you've posted yet another wonderful chapter! I'd expected that Sev's behavior was due to something regarding his Christmas present to Harry, but I didn't expect him to tell Harry about being the one to tell Voldie about the prophecy--though I should have thought of it, and it didn't surprise me too much that Severus would tell Harry; I just hadn't anticipated it. I'm also not too surprise that Harry took off without actually thinking--he just reacted, and I don't blame him. I imagine I might have done much the same thing if it were me...It would be too sudden and unexpected a revelation and I know that I would definitely need to get away to some place where I could be by myself so I could just think. *pouts* And I just realized that you didn't even give any hints about what Harry is getting Severus for Christmas, beyond his remarks about adding color to Sev's wardrobe, but I have a feeling he was teasing...But anyway, thank you so much for providing such excellent material for me to stay up into the wee hours of the morning reading! Author's Response: Thanks for the lovely review! Sorry to leave you hanging, but at least it gives you something to look forward to, right? I do know what you mean about the cliffhangers, though. I hate them, when I'm a reader and not a writer...and yet I use them frequently in my own stories. What does that say about me? I do feel sorry for both the boys right now. Severus is truly repentent, and so afraid of losing Harry. It was all he could do to confess, but his own sense of integretity (sp?) insisted that Harry deserved to know. On the other hand, Harry has suffered a great deal because of Severus' actions, and I can't blame him for being upset and needing to get away to think. I think I'd do that too, just like you. I'll try to put in more about the Christmas presents in the next chapter.
