OoOo... Poor Harry was all excited about being adopted, then he had to go and learn the truth. Excellent chapter and I hope you'll be able to udpate again soon!

Author's Response: Thank you!  I'll try.

Ooh, angst galore. No wonder Severus was so withdrawn. But Severus did need to get that out first.

Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes, I do think Harry needed to know the truth before they go through the adoption.

Lord above, now this is really bad. Sometimes I wish the kid wasn't so darn impulsive, he should have at least let Sev explain before running off like that. Great job though and will we ever find out what Sev was brewing in there?

Author's Response: Thank you!  Yes, Harry is a bit impulsive, but canon Harry is too, and I do think he has a good reason to be upset.  What was Sev brewing?  You will find out soon, I think.

Excellent story! You don't ever disappoint, do you? I find your characterizations of Harry and Severus to be completely believable, especially considering everything Harry's been through, particulary since the summer, and I've greatly enjoyed their interactions.
Hmm...you mention the Umbridge conversation, again...I wonder...*grins in anticipation* Does that mean that Severus will find out about the blood quill, now? I think it would be interesting if he found out without Harry telling him about it, and then confronted Harry--for instance, he notices the scars on Harry's hand, or Ron or Hermione let something slip in Severus' hearing (though not necessarily in his presence...), or something like that...Just throwing in my two cents...
Anyway, thank you for such wonderful writing that allows me to procrastinate on other things! I can't wait for the next chapter! Please update soon!!!

Author's Response: Oh, thank you!  That means a lot!  I just try to write the best as I can, and hope people will enjoy it.  It's really encouraging when they do.  I'm still planning the best way for Sev to find out about blood quill, but he will at some point.  Thank you for reading and for your reviews!  They've made my day!

Severus thought, letting his fear morph into anger because anger was easier to bear. -- very nice.

    Author's Response: Thank you!
