Yes you're correct, I am anxious but I know you're leading to it so I can deal with it. Hope the next chapter is up soon!

Author's Response: The next chapter should be up before weekend's end.  This one is shaping up to be a long one so it will take more time than the last shorter one.  Thanks so much for another review.  I know your anxious, but really it makes me smile that people are so into the story.  :o)

I love the fact that despite Lily's part in the supposed betrayal, Severus can't stop loving her, that he is able to put all his hate and anger onto James Potter and, subsuquently, Harry. His love for Lily must run very deep.

I'm glad things are finally out in the open, but I'm still curious to see how Snape deals with it all. I think that Harry is so desperate for someone to call family that he would do whatever it took to accept Snape as his father. Might not be so easy for Severus, though.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the next...

    Author's Response:

Yeah, I love too that Severus loves Lily so much.  That though, I think I got from the books and just deepened his love a bit more.  I think just like in Canon, here Sev agrees to protect Harry as much as he can when Dumbledore asks because he loves Lily so much and maybe even for the memory of a little messy-haired little boy.

Hmmm...I don't know who it will be harder for but I do know that Lily will play a big role in getting them started, both of them.  :o)

I'm so glad you are still enjoying.  Thanks for the review.

I'm really enjoying your story! It's so full of twists and turns, and plenty of angst!

I do hope Severus and Harry can salvage something of their relationship, and that it can bring peace and healing to both of them.

    Author's Response:

Thanks so much for another review.  Have I mentioned how much I love reviews?  :)

Severus and Harry are up next.  Plenty more angst for you.

GReat Job. It was a little short though..GAHH!!! Cliff hanger

Author's Response: Thanks.  I know it was a much shorter than most of my other chapters...sorry about that.  But, I wanted this chapter to ONLY be about the consequences of the two actions: Lily's lie and Eileen's treachery.  The next chapter will be back to regular length with lots of fun stuff going on.  Thanks for reviewing and keep enjoying!

You've just got to love an over-the-top angry Severus. He looks darn good in righteous fury. And I could just "feel" it as I was reading it. Well done.

I just knew he was headed to Mum's house for some serious whoopin'. But I'm so glad he thought of Harry before doing something he would have regretted later (or maybe not...this is Severus after all).

BTW...I haven't mentioned in other reviews, but I am truly in awe on how successfully you write the two timelines. It really works and not many writers could pull that off.

AND - thanks for updating so soon again! You're fast - and good! This reader is very appreciative since you are making me hang around my computer and ignore my housework, hee hee.

Needless to say, CAN'T WAIT for Severus to come back and interact with Harry.

    Author's Response:

Yay!  I love your reviews.  :)

Gotta love that angry Severus.  Delicious.

I went back and forth on the whole consequence for Eileen. I  originally wanted Severus to Avada Kedavra her into oblivion, but then Harry's face popped into my head during the whole shrieking shack incident and if Harry could let Wormtail live, he would have let Eileen live too.  And, I think you're probably right...Severus probably would not have regretting killing his mother but I think Harry would have had a hard time with knowing that Severus had murdered her and that's what Sev was realizing as he stood there (awww, some inkling of concern for Harry from Severus...)

Thanks for the compliments about the two timelines.  I've loved writing it that way so far.  It's just so interesting trying to figure out what made Snape, Snape.  And I just can't resist the idea of Lily and Severus together.

Well, you're in luck because next up is Severus and Harry!!  It'll be no good for your housework, but fun for the mind, eh?  :o)

    Engenue

Author's Response: Thanks!  I love cliffhangers; they are fun, aren't they?  I'm so glad you are enjoying the story.  The next chapter will be up in a couple days, I think.

Thank God you are such a frequent updater. I think I would go completely crazy if I had to wait too long to find out what happens next.

One of the things that always stood out to me in JKR's book is how bitter Snape is. Of course, the last book explained why he was such a bitter man. Unrequited love will do strange things to people. Of course, in your story it's more a case of a sense of betrayal that makes Snape so bitter. It is so sad to think that at one point Harry was the world to Snape, and now, whenever he looks at Harry all he sees is that betrayal again. Poor Harry and poor Snape.

Dumbledore is absolutely maddening, isn't he? I don't know how Snape is able to control himself, but I guess it has something to do with the fact that he undeniably respects the headmaster.

I'm glad that Harry found a way to share the pensieve memories with Snape. I wonder if that's enough for Snape, or if he will need more proof?

Thanks so much for the update. BTW, thanks for letting Ron be so understanding of the situation. I would have hated it if he was mean to Harry just because of Snape being his father. The poor kid has enough to be worrying about, doesn't he?

Take care and hope to hear more from you soon....

    Author's Response:

Yeah, it always drives me batty when people take forever to update too so I thought I'd be kind.  :-)  Actually, I just can't wait either to find out what is going to happen next.

Poor Snape and Harry, yeah.  Snape is just a really tragic figure, isn't he?  I love that you are thinking about Snape's reactions throughout the books based on this fic.  You hit it right on the head too.  Sad, is right.

Dumbledore is annoying, for sure.  Snape, I think has a lot of control.  I think it takes a lot for him to lose himself completely.  It's happened twice so far in this story and there's more to come.  After all, he doesn't know if the Headmaster knew Lily lied, yet.

I don't like it when Ron is portrayed as a complete arse, so I let him be a good friend, this time.  Harry needs his friends for everything that s happening.

The next chapter will be up in a couple days, though this one will proably be shorter than normal as it has some very important things happening but not long things.  Thanks so much for another review.  Enjoy.

I'm still in love with this. It's been a while since a story has totally grabbed my attention like this. Yay! Though I was reading it instead of writing a paper for university. Ooops. :-)

Author's Response: LOL!  Good to know I take precedence of your papers.  :-)  Warm fuzzies for you.  I'm so glad you still like it.  More will be up in a few days.

I'm stuned. You have really done a good job of characterization. I was wondering what exactly Snape's reaction would be, but it wasn't that! But what you've done is perfect!! It's so Snape! (And I love Harry's comment about his temper!)

One thing that I noticed, though. McGonagall teaches Transfiguration, not Charms. Does she have any idea what's going on? And Draco, I'm dissapointed in that toe rag! What a jerk, that Slytherin!! Urgh! (I hope Harry hexes him in the next chapter!)

But wow! I can't wait to see into Severus' mind in the next chapter, he's going to be really confused trying to figure everything out while determining what he believes is true. Hopefully he does see that he IS Harry's father and totally A.K.s his mum is she's still alive. Man, she's mean! It would also be really good for Harry, obviously, if Severus accepts him...even if he's already been rejected. But, that's a good thing too, because it'll make Severus try REALLY hard to gain Harry's trust and thus prove to him that he wants to be his father. Although Voldie does prove difficult to deal with...hmmm. I bet you've got a great plot bunny to skirt around that one, though!

I'm also looking forward to some agnst from Harry, after his rejection. It's going to be hard on him and I hope that Ginny get's a bigger part in this...

Well, off to class! Keep writing!

    Author's Response:

Oh!  Thanks for the note about McGonagall.  I did that in the other chapter too but I changed it now.

I'm so glad you liked the way Snape sort of lost it at the end there and that you were pleasantly surprised by it.  It's nice to know I've got something spot on!

Draco is a git, isn't he?  But, we do have plans for him.

Next chapter is chock full of Sev's thoughts and it's entitled "Consequences" so it's gonna be fun.  I'm so glad you are looking forward to it so much.  And yeah, Eileen is a little *****, it's she?  :-)

Lots more Ginny too.  After all, Harry wouldn't be Harry without Ginny!  Love her. Thanks for the reveiw!

This is awesome! It's been ages since I've read a well written and new Severitus/Sevitus story. I'm not anxiously waiting for the next chapter. He can't be really rejecting him!

Author's Response: Thanks!  I'm so glad you like it.  The next chapter is in the works and will be up in a few days.  You'll have to wait and see what old Sev is up to!  :o)
