Thank you! One of the problems I have with JKR's book is the adults *rarely* take responsibility with their actions. She downplays Harry's abuse, too. Severe neglect, possible physical abuse, starvation, etc(Vernon does threaten to tar him, Petunia aims a skillet at his head, and Vernon does commit battery with Harry, etc) So, thank you so much for putting a realistic spin on this well-written piece. I find most of the stories here a lot more realistic than in her story. I apologize if it appears I am ranting, but I needed the comparison. :D
Quite nicely done, this chapter. One small spelling error, fourth paragraph up from the bottom. In the next-to-last sentence, McGonagall should be saying: "When I arrived Harry was THRASHING in the bed..."
I'm giving you a "10" for this episode. Well done!

A really good update! I'm glad to see you continuing on with your story.
One thing, though. I think you mean to use "thrash" instead of "trash" (you did this in the previous chapters too).

You did a great job of describing Snape's mental processes. I'm looking forward to reading their conversation.
Oh poor Harry! I'm really glad that he has Snape to care for him.
I really like this chapter, but I will have to go back and refresh my memory a bit, since I can't remember what happened previously. But I am impressed with what I've read so far.

I've just discovered your story and I really like it.
it seems to me that Dumbledore is too harsh with Snape : Severus was just Harry's teacher (even if he was horrible to him), it was Dumbledore who was responsible for leaving Harry at the Dursley's, and it was Dumbledore who presented himself to Harry as a mentor...
anyway, update soon please, I'd like to see how Severus will cope with a drugged Harry
