This story is good. Keep up the good work. But your End Notes no offense are cheesey

Author's Response: Thanks you. I know they're cheesy-- just call me Velveeta :)

well i have been forced to review, i'm arachnaphobic and i don't want a giant spider anywhere near me.

the chapter was great, the dursleys showing there true greed and poor harry will have to curb his temper, now that snape is his legal guardian

Oh that was right out of Le Miserables! The Dursleys are even worse than the Threnardiers in my opinion. I hope you realise that I was trying to fit their dialog to the tune from the scene in the show.

Poor Harry; he really has had a wake-up call that he didn't expect in the least, hasn't he? I know he's convinved that Snape is going to kill him but I'm sure that Severus will keep it discipline and not let it turn into physical abuse (especially if you are working with the background that he was an abused child whilst growing up).

It makes sense that the taking of guardianship would be essentially an unbreakable vow. I bet Harry is going ot latch onto the idea of "You vowed to protect me, not hit me!" at least once. And I'm sure that Severus will inform him that the corporal punishment is meant to do exactly that: to keep him from behaving in ways that will get him hurt or killed.

An excellent chapter and you picked the perfect place to end it. A nice little cliffie!

Also, tell please tell Aragog that I have no intention of disappointing him, given that I think he could give Tolkien's Shelob a run for her money.

    Cheers!

    Author's Response:

Oh no, don't give me ideas! Do you think I could work a little Sweeny Todd in? "It's Snape, have a little Snape..."

I think Snape knows the limits. I also think Harry is going to test them at every oppertunity, because, as a teenager, he already knows everything anyway.

    Thanks for the review.

Vernon Dursley got his just reward -exactly what he deserved LOL. I think that while Harry deserves to be punished for his rudeness to the adults Sev has to take time and talk with the boy about everything that is going on in his life

Author's Response: I agree, but at the same time, I don't see Snape being the "Let's talk about it" type. I can see that being a challenge for him: Getting over the idea that children should always obey every order exactly without question. Just as Harry has to learn to obey reasonably ( and without attitude. I've always thought Harry had an awful attitude).

Physical punishment is very rarely in what I read and I usually stop reading the story when it does come in. However, in this story, the punishment made quite a lot of sense. The wizarding world is quite behind times in most things, it makes sense the punishment is something we now frown upon. That aside, I really like your story. Severus Snape is the one to most likely to read the signs Harry sends out correctly and the situation the emotion comes out in is very believable and well done. Quite a few storyies have Severus reading the signs suddenly in Harry's sixth year with no prompt to re-evalute his belief of Harry. I also love the leprechaun gold, it sounds very luch like something Severus would do and the Dursly's would believe.
Thank you for posting an excellent story, and please update soon!
P.S. I love the little rhyme at the end of Chapter 2, telling me to review!

Author's Response: Thank you. The best thing for me is the image of the Dursleys being seen in Little Whinging in their PJs after the gold vanishes :)
