Story Notes:
This fic picks up after the events at the end of POA, except that the Trio was unsucessful in rescuing Sirius, who was Kissed and died shortly thereafter.
Within this universe, CP by wizarding parents towards their children is common and accepted. I'd like to go on record as saying that I do not, nor would ever, support abusive conduct towards children (or adults, for that matter). That said, if the idea of parental type CP bothers you, this fic is probably not your cup of tea. I have no desire to debate this with anyone.
The story also deals with emotional abuse, which is likely to disturb some readers.

Mea Culpa: Though Snape refuses to entertain the notion he might be wrong, the quote from the previous chapter should read "waiting for", not "waits for".
