Why is this wonderful story dead? I've read all chapters one after another to eventually encounter "to be continued", and it has not been updated since March 24 2009!!!
Back to the story. I love how you pictured the characters realistically. You've managed to avoid what many fanfiction authors do, namely making the word black-white.
I also like your approach if Dursleys are concerned. You haven't overdone them, yet you have shown they abused Harry mentally by showing him indifference and disregard, not overindulging in some surrealistic images of terrible physical abuse which miraculously remained unnoticed.

PS I love your chapter end notes, they are thoroughly amusing :) I appreciate you have not used a single concept more than once.
PS2 Forgive my possible spelling (or any other) mistakes. Even if it's weak excuse, I must point out I'm not native speaker.

Abuse. Of. Authority. that's what I call it. Harry has no means to fight of what Snape believes is right. and the spanking, what is he like 13, and a teacher spanks him?? that isn't even remotely fair, not to mention humiliating... poor Harry, that's what I say. but the fic is well written and if I wasn't into Harry having total (or at least some) control over his life I'd like it a lot :D

By not reviewing I was hexed with a jelly-legs jinx 17.5% more then usual, and I came down with a unfortunate case of Dragon Pox. Luckily the doctor says the itching will stop in a few weeks, but I have several uncomfortable calls to make to a few gents that I had drinks with last week. Well I'm not taking any more chances I tells ya!
Awesome story, I very much enjoying the growing relationship and trust between Harry and Snape. I can't wait to read more.
