Harry! You stupid boy! Why would he miss TWO classes? And then cheek Snape of all people. How terrible! I'd be pretty ticked off too had I been Snape and some mouthy kid I already don't like is giving me crap. It has something to do with using Dark Magic, doesn't it? I'm 89% sure...I think.... But oh no! What's Draco done now? While I kinda feel bad about him, I don't feel so bad that I can forgive him for sending that owl...did he write to the Ministry? Did he write to the Prophet? And Draco is as big a pain as he has always been. Harry has become quite angry, but in some ways, I think he is justified. Hermione does go on, doesn't she. Harry has killed a man. You are right about Severus though, he is a man who expects absolute respect; he doesn't always deserve it, but when faced with Harry's insolence, the man becomes absolutely livid. Not a good way for either one of them to come to terms with all the changes.
One little glimmer of hope though: maybe if the world knew that Snape was Harry's father, he would be obligated to act decently towards him in order to maintain his good name (and I use good in the loosest way possible here). I really like what you've got here so far. It's a great story idea. My favorite part was when Harry and his friends brought Severus back to life; that part was so eerie. I could feel Ron's fear and see the creepy scene of a dead Snape with the black candles and all that dark arts stuff. That part was very well-described. Also, I like the genuine animosity between Snape and Harry. People usually proceed to make Sev and Harry become friends much too quickly when a Sevitus is written. I can tell that this isn't the case here and am excited to read the next part when it comes out. Great job! -P.G. Author's Response: Yeah, things are going to get worse before they get better. Snape needs a good kick in the butt doesn't he? I don't know that Snape really is thinking along the lines of what people will think if he continues to act like a prat towards his own son. He just is furious with everyone right now, because he feels that he's lost control of his life. First he was manipulated by Dumbledore, and then Harry brings him back from the veil against his wishes, and even Minerva is playing him like a puppet, and trying to bend him to her will. Severus is not a man who takes kindly to be told what to do. Severus prefers to be the one in charge. He was powerless against DD because of DD's position of authority, and now Minerva is doing it as well and she'shis boss! So who do you think Sev is going to take his frustrations on. The one that he as authority over-Harry! You know what, that is my fav chapter too. It was so much fun to write. Tabitha and I discussed ideas, and I had the time of my life writing it. I too like the creepiness of it!

But it doesn't me that I don't like a happy ending like the next guy or gal, as the case may be. But it wouldn't be worth the prize if the struggle were too easy, now would it?
Yes, I can see Harry and Severus have a long way to go still. But I am curious to know if this is all Harry, or if he is being affected by the magic. And I knew Draco was up to no-good. Sneaky little ferret! I hope he either has a big change of heart, or really gets what's coming to him! I can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: No definitely not the best decision that Harry has ever made, but we all know how rash he can be! Harry did take a very big chance in using the Horcrux to bring Snape back, and he could very well be reacting to the rebound magic of the spell. He was warned of the dangers, wasn't he? Yes Draco is a ferrett, and cannot be trusted as far as you can throw him! You would think that he would be more grateful for all that Harry and Sev have done for him!
Author's Response: Well, it is possible that he will contemplate the idea, but don't worry Ginny won't let him go without a fight! Trust me also, that neither will Minerva, and if need be she will bang some sense into Snape's thick skull to make him realise what a prat he is being. Even if Harry decides to leave, it doesn't mean that with the right incentive, he won't come back!

Author's Response: Let me put your mind to rest. This will not be a Snape adopts Draco story. This is about Harry and Snape only. Although Snape is really being a bastard to Harry right now, fear not, he will soften up towards his son, and he really has no interest in Narcissa as a lover, nor in Draco as a son. He already has a son. He just has to realise first that he wants one! |
