Reviews For An Uncertain Future
Author's Response: Draco's a little snot though isn't he! Yeah, Harry is fed up with Snape and that is why he is mouthing off so much! I don't really blame him, but he'd better be careful, now hadn't he?
Author's Response: Harry's temper rivals his father, doesn't it? Harry needs a muzzle sometimes!
You are right about Severus though, he is a man who expects absolute respect; he doesn't always deserve it, but when faced with Harry's insolence, the man becomes absolutely livid. Not a good way for either one of them to come to terms with all the changes.
One little glimmer of hope though: maybe if the world knew that Snape was Harry's father, he would be obligated to act decently towards him in order to maintain his good name (and I use good in the loosest way possible here). I really like what you've got here so far. It's a great story idea. My favorite part was when Harry and his friends brought Severus back to life; that part was so eerie. I could feel Ron's fear and see the creepy scene of a dead Snape with the black candles and all that dark arts stuff. That part was very well-described. Also, I like the genuine animosity between Snape and Harry. People usually proceed to make Sev and Harry become friends much too quickly when a Sevitus is written. I can tell that this isn't the case here and am excited to read the next part when it comes out. Great job! -P.G. Author's Response: Yeah, things are going to get worse before they get better. Snape needs a good kick in the butt doesn't he? I don't know that Snape really is thinking along the lines of what people will think if he continues to act like a prat towards his own son. He just is furious with everyone right now, because he feels that he's lost control of his life. First he was manipulated by Dumbledore, and then Harry brings him back from the veil against his wishes, and even Minerva is playing him like a puppet, and trying to bend him to her will. Severus is not a man who takes kindly to be told what to do. Severus prefers to be the one in charge. He was powerless against DD because of DD's position of authority, and now Minerva is doing it as well and she'shis boss! So who do you think Sev is going to take his frustrations on. The one that he as authority over-Harry! You know what, that is my fav chapter too. It was so much fun to write. Tabitha and I discussed ideas, and I had the time of my life writing it. I too like the creepiness of it!
Thanks for the encouragement!
I'm so worried about Harry going dark! This is bad news! -P.G. Author's Response: Yeah well Draco is the ultimate Slytherin, isn't he? He is only interested in what "he" can gain from the situation, and unfortuantely he's not going to give a fig about what Harry's done for his parents!
Yeah, Harry is caught up in something he can't handle, but perhaps this is the catalyst for Snape finally being a father to him. Snape is almost the only one who can truly save Harry from himself; he just needs the motivation to be there for his son.
Author's Response: Harry is feeling out of sorts right now. He feels unwanted and rejected by his own father. Yes...it will be an uphill battle tp soften grumpy old Snape up.
-P.G. Author's Response: Harry is very unbalanced emotionally right now, and Sev is too. They both need help, the poor boys...enter Minerva!
Author's Response: There goes Snape's plans to keep this whole "incident' as quiet as possible!
Author's Response: Yeah, unfortunately Snape's reaction to being brought back from the veil is not all that Harry hoped for !
-P.G. Author's Response: Thank you so much! Coming from you, that's an honour! Yeah, learning Snape is your father musnt' be easy to swallow!
Author's Response: You're welcome, and that YOU for reviewing in the first place! Hey, there's gotta be a little angst in this kind of story, doesn't there? But it doesn't me that I don't like a happy ending like the next guy or gal, as the case may be. But it wouldn't be worth the prize if the struggle were too easy, now would it? |
