I will be here till the end! Author's Response: thanks so much. I am determined to finish this story, but I never thought that it would take me so long to do it. I'm sorry for the long spaces between updates, and I promise to do better.
"appreciate perfection you have to live through hell" Hmm wouldn't Harry already have lived thru it with the Dursley's and Severus? Maybe its Ron's turn since he is always so jealous of Harry's fame. :) Author's Response: Thanks. I lost my mother in 1996 and I still miss her too. I know that this is all a part of life, but it doesn't make it easier to bear at times.
Yeah, Harry did live through hell, but he deserves happiness now. Well, I think that Ron is jealous but he still loves Harry.
What a fantastic chapter! I loved the beginning with Harry and Severus enjoying the holidays and each other's company (What a long way they've come!). They both deserve to have a loving family and I'm so glad that they've found, and are learning to love, one another. Of course though, I'm concerned about the article that Severus was reading, and wanted to spare Harry from. It seems that something is wrong and Narcissa suspects so, too. Surely Voldemort is truly gone? I'm eager to see how you develop this. And I like how you are portraying the Malfoys. I can easily see Lucius being the way you depict him. Despite his faults, he does truly love his family, but pride and tradition keep him from showing it, and his prejudices and high expectations could make him almost abusive at times. I can't wait for another chapter, so I hope you're already writing! Author's Response: Thanks Kristeh. You always leave such lovely reviews.
Harry and Snape are finally feeling more comfortable with each other and cherishing the bond that is forming. Unfortunately, there are dark times ahead that could spoil the peace that they've all worked so hard for.
I think that Lucius and Narcissa have really had to re-examine their values. I think that they deserve to be given a second chance.
Thanks so much for all your support these past couple of months especially. I really value your friendship and your opinion. Oh, and I'm so looking forward to another chapter from you too.
i love snape's reaction to the idea of becoming a grandla. Author's Response: Thanks so much. Yeah, I think that secretly he really does want to be a grandpa someday. Maybe just not yet.
Author's Response: Oh dear. I'm sorry that I only saw this now. You should send a pm to ObsidianEmbrace. I'll let her know.
Author's Response: Oh thanks so much. Yes, I am just having a little writer's block, health problems and a death in the family all within the space of a couple of months, but I'm going to work on it soon. I just need to get started! LOL.
I think the way you've written Sev is very realistic as well. I too think he would stay very rigid with some softening at the edges were Harry to come into his life. Well Done! Can't wait to read more!! Love this story! Author's Response: Thanks so much. I apologise for the long wait in updating, but I have had some serious health problems, and a death in the family, and some writing's block in their as well. I promise that I will update soon.
It's hard to name my favorite parts, because reallly I'd be quoting the whole chapter, lol, but I had to grin when Severus tried the flavored beans. I got tears in my eyes when Severus was looking at Lily's picture (Harry gave him the perfect gift!), and also at the end, when Severus can finally say that he's happy and grateful for the second chance that Harry gave him. I also liked how he had given Harry so many gifts and acknowledged to himself how Harry has also been affected by his past with the Dursleys, and you handled the situation with the Malfoys coming for dinner just perfectly! I'm excited for the next chapter, and for more of your other stories too! Author's Response: Thanks Kristeh. It was actually fun to write these Christmas scenes; it's my favourite time of the year, and I wanted it to be special for Harry and Severus.
I thought that it would be nice for Severus to be spoilt at Christmas too. Even though he's made many mistakes, he's trying hard now to be a good father to Harry.
I'll try to be better at updating next time. |
