I'm not sure why I haven't been reading your story. Was there a corporal punishment warning before? It seems like I thought there was anyway, so that might be why. I rarely read cp stories.
But I'm so glad I've begun it. This is a wonderful beginning. Harry is still vulnerable, but he knows how to hide it. And he's strong too...it's not easy to portray that combination. His thoughts and emotions are clever, with that brittle facade trying to hide his fear and pain underneath. The other Slytherins seem interesting, and Severus is spot-on, intimidating and aloof, but hopefully with a good core.
I can't wait to see where you're going to take us!
That last line is a kicker :) Lovely start.
