I love the way Snape is handling Harry. He’s stern, but flexible, patient, (mostly) calm, and kind. That’s a difficult balance to achieve, but you’ve done it so marvelously.

Great fic - just as enjoyable for the second or third time arround.
BTW the word 'asshole' identifies Harry as an American child not a British one. Brits might perhaps say 'arsehole' or more likely 'you arse' but never 'ass' unless they are talking about a donkey. It is not just a difference in spelling, arse is not pronouned 'ass' it is pronounced 'arrhse'.

Harry is going to become quite well-acquainted with the corner, isn't he?

    Good chapter - I like it. ^^

Superpower Harry combined with abused Harry makes up the perfectly likable character... Not this one though. I really like your Harry - that kid's got some spirit and he's not giving in that easily to the "comfort thing", which, again, is a part of a 100% likable character. And Snape's insecurity about his own ability to do any good is captured really well - just like Harry uses his anger, so does Snape puts up a mask to hide his vulnerability (yes, he's a bit of a softie underneath that sarcastic exterior, never doubted that;).

I find abused!Harry stories very disturbing, actually. (Well, inflicting pain on a child SHOULD be disturbing.) But the humorous overtone mitigates, somewhat, that distressing quality (even though it's more of a biting sarcasm than humour). Nevertheless.

Great, great story! Whatever I said above, I'm looking forward to the "comfort thing", hehe :) Who wouldn't want to see Harry set free of his angst? By Snape, no less.

Author's Response: LOL yeah. Harry's only 11 years old, for goodness' sake! Anyway, thanks for reviewing, glad you like it. :-)

I love this story, above all I love Harry in it.
Snape is really putting in a lot of effort to keep his temper. I think he makes a mistake, though. He DID threaten Harry that he would hit him for greater infractions, and he knows that Harry is scared of it. So I think either he should admit to Harry that it had been an empty threat (if that's what it was, I'm not sure) or he should specify what Harry has to expect. With the way Harry keeps provoking him it even seems as if Harry tries to do just that - find out what would be the worst he can expect from Snape. Poor Harry keeps trembling whenever Snape gets near (and behind) him - possibly it even would have been better for him if Snape had gone ahead and punished him physically once (mildly of course), as mad as this may sound - this uncertainty is just horrible!

Author's Response: Yeah I totally agree. Snape should deal with the issue more directly - he's going for proving that he only punishes when Harry deserves it, but Harry needs to know what to expect. He gets more info every time he's in trouble, so he keeps acting out. (Well, that's part of the reason, anyway). Don't worry - he'll get it figured out. Maybe not right away, but he will.

What a great chapter! The talk between Snape and Dumbledore was great-- why Snape still thinks he has a hope in the face of Dumbledore's machinations, I'm not sure. Well, every adult in a parental role needs someone to help them through the anxious moments, especially after you do something you're ashamed of. I like Draco as a constasting element-- he's a kid with different problems and needs different handling. I find Harry's acting out very believable; I am horrified that he's going to risk upsetting Snape again, though.

Author's Response: Thanks!! I'm glad you liked it!! Yeah Harry's more stubborn than smart, but he's got to figure things out for himself, I think. :-)

I quite like this - it has all the good elements a story like this should have. Harry possibly swears a little too much - he sounds more like a fifteen year old - but I can live with that. Are you going to update soon? Please?!

Author's Response: Thanks! It'll be a few more days before the update, but I'm home now so things should regularly be updated within 10 days.

Wow. What a spitfire chapter! Harry just doesn't know when to call it quits. I hope that Draco does.

Great chapter! thanks so much for the update! Great writing. :)

Author's Response: Thanks!! Yeah Harry's a stubborn little bugger...
