Happy Bunny! More stuff with Blaise and Ron and Harry please! Ron has no understanding of where Harry's come from, which makes it all the more wonderfully painful to read... nice job. And a realistic end to the conversation with Blaise. Harry - this Harry - would definitely have punched him. Author's Response: Hehe :0) Glad you like it, and I'll take your request into consideration. (Ideas are ALWAYS welcome - they make good cures for writer's block sometimes.) Yeah I couldn't figure out where that conversation was going until Harry took things into his own...well...fists. I feel bad for Blaise, now, though. He only wanted to help!

I wonder,though, if Harry will come to care about Severus after the discipline that Snape has dealt him. It seems a little unfair and harsh to me since Harry has already been dealt with so harshly by the Durseleys, etc., but I don't have alternative solutions. Anyway, looking forward to the next installment! Author's Response: Yeah, I understand your (and Snape's!) dilemma. Sev sees his duty as first to protect Harry, and puts that ahead of getting the kid to like him. Hopefully when Harry realizes that Snape really isn't going away, despite all of Harry's attempts to get rid of him, he'll realize that the man is worth having around. :0) Thanks for your review!!
It got a bit (very) long, I hope you don’t mind? (Usually I just lurk, because otherwise, well.., this kind of rambling happens.) I just had to say I love how you build up the tension between Harry and Severus, and consequently in the story. ( Which results in me waiting anxiously for your updates...) The subject matter you’ve taken on is so difficult! Fortunately for readers, however, it is very interesting . The interaction between Harry and Severus throughout is fascinating to watch. This chapter appears to be an example representing the fact that trust needs to earned. Harry being as damaged as he is also cannot be forced to confide until he is ready (as Blaise is discovering??). The situation made me sympathize with both parties. You don’t just spill your deepest most humiliating secrets, if you aren’t ready. (It takes people many years to finally tell what they’ve been through!) On the other hand, the helplessness of being on the outside looking in, wanting to help and failing, is very hard as well. Your story pulls my emotions in two entirely different directions! Only thing truly bothering me in this particular chapter is the conversation about hitting. The logic underlying Severus' theory just doesn't ring true. Hitting someone who's been beaten in the past, especially to impress on the abused party that their life is worth living, seems an absolute contradiction. There are so many alternatives. I guess I am wondering what kind of effect exactly Severus is striving for, when he threatens someone who was abused physically with a physical punishment. The Kallie/hiding injury situation already influenced Harry a lot, in showing that other people cared, and seemed to work well as a deterrent against hiding injuries. Harry learning to love himself through learning about the positives of “caring” (as opposed to endless detentions ;-) seems the logical solution? Doing otherwise would only constitute another unnecessary form of humiliation, and violation, of Harry’s person. So I am very intrigued and curious to find out how the characters in your story will handle themselves, and in what kind of trouble Harry will get himself next! How will Severus get through Harry’s thick scull…. Someone mentioned a blunt object vs Harry’s head in a review. (Which might work wonders, but then I’d have to swallow my previous words… ;-) Btw must also mention that I was grinning stupidly at my screen when the "farm animal" situation occurred. And Percy and pranks, what is the world coming to…..? Am wondering what a coming WW might bring… . Hope you update again soon!! Regards, Kari Author's Response: LOL no problem I LOVE long reviews. I understand what you're saying about the hitting thing, though I'm not sure I agree. Is it easier for an abused child to believe that an adult really won't hit him at all, or that an adult will hit in a certain, controlled, 'safe' way? I'm really not sure. I figure if I were used to getting hit, I'd always be waiting to get hit. Then if I did, and it was okay, I could relax. Obviously you disagree, but that's my reasoning. I'm glad you like the pranking - I always loved that from canon, and was really happy to find so many opportunities for it in my own fic. :0) Thanks for reviewing! Rhiannan
