This should read: “Understood, sir. We'll take care of it,” said Jack Manson, the talker of the two, as his friend Charles nodded seriously. It's always a comma after the speech and a *small* letter for the 'said' 'exclaimed' 'cried' part. I only bring this up because this story is on a generally high level of writing and editing, with only this amateur mistake as a constant problem. You usually only see it with rank beginners. It sets my teeth on edge. Otherwise, very good story. Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and the mention - I get better about that later, I just haven't gone back and fixed it. :0)
Author's Response: Thanks!! It should be out within the week. I took a brief break with a really good book. :-)
Author's Response: Yeah sorry it's gonna be a little while. I have a really, really great book and so haven't started the chapter yet. I guess I'm taking a break. However, the fic is NOT abandoned, and I WILL post within the next week or so, so no worries. And don't worry about 'being annoying' - it's flattering, actually, that people are anxious to have me update. :-)
Author's Response: Good!! Thanks!! :-)
Author's Response: I might, if it comes up. It's not on the agenda at the moment but I'll consider it. Thanks for the review!! Rhiannan
I am not sure I like Severus ordering the near death of a student, no matter how much of a bully he is. A bully, yes, but still only 15 years old. I am sure that Harry would quickly work out what happened and who ordered the beating especially as the injuries were similar to his own. Not really much of an example. I also don't agree that all the other teachers worship the Gryffindors, which is why Severus gives them a hard time. Minerva, head of Gryfindor, does not favour her own house. Snape, head of Slytherin doesfavour his own house blatantly, and not just as opposed to Gryffindors but Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff as well. And if there are students in Slytherin capable of doing what they did to Flint, well, is it any wonder that they have a bad reputation. Well, apart from all that, there was the usual wonderful interaction between Sev and Harry. Lesley~ Author's Response: Hey Lesley! That question will be answered in the next chapter, this chapter was just getting too long for it. As for Sev, he's a Death Eater. I'm sure he's done worse, just to keep his position. Teachers worshiping the Gryffindors is Sev's POV, not mine. Hopefully that'll change, but I've got to work with canon and there's no getting around the fact that the man's prejudiced. Anyway, glad you like the rest of it, and thanks for the review. :-)
but i love him Author's Response: LOL yeah that'll happen eventually. I have to wait until it's not entirely unrealistic that he'd flip out about it, so it'll probably wait until around canon Halloween. We'll see. Thanks for the review!! |
