Reviews For Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat
Just wanted to say I'm loving reading this story - I found it under the 'most reviewed' link. Wish there had been slightly less swearing etc in it - can't really imagine Snape encouraging bad mouthing of other teachers anytime - but really great plot development and lots of in-depth characters!
Great chapter, as always - loving this fic.
Author's Response: :0) Yey!! Glad you like!!! And no worries, the update should be out in a week or so. :0)
Please write more! Author's Response: YEy!! Glad you like!! For once, the next chapter is progressing rather quickly, so with any luck you'll get it in the next week or so. :0) Thanks for the review! Rhiannan
Author's Response: Yey!!!! So glad you like it!!! *big smile* Don't worry - work on the next chapter is going quickly, so it should be out in a week or so. Rhiannan
This was another great chapter,I especially liked the kids planning their "club",thanks for making me laugh. Author's Response: LOL yey!! Glad you like my fic and my bunnies. I originally developed them as a way to avoid the smileys that facebook, skype, and lots of other methods of IMing replace normal smileys with. I wanted something that NONE of them would interpret as a smiley, and thereby came up with bunnies. And the rest is history...lol, anyway, thanks for the review!!
Author's Response: LOL I'll work on it! I've got exams and stuff coming up again, though...
Author's Response: Thanks! And yes, I suppose Harry is the 'glue'. Certainly Ron and Hermione wouldn't be hanging out in Slytherin without him. The ties seem to be forming around him, too, though. Thanks again for the review! Rhiannan
Suddenly something occurred to Blaise. “You did not survive in the Dark Lord's ranks by being an idiot. You already knew.” “Your warning does not cause me any additional stress.” Blaise smirked. “That was a yes.” Snape's face stayed neutral. “As you like.” Exactly what did Severus already know? I am a bit lost. Harry lowering his defences enough to show the photos to his friends was great to see. And finally letting the words 'my mother' pass his lips was heartwarming. In fact Harry in this chapter was finally much more s oft around the edges; even with his friends he is more often than not defensive. I felt very upset for Severus during his conversation with Albus. He really does not seem to care for Severus' peace of mind at all. I suppose his thinking is more that he would rather keep Severus alive is valid, but that just seems to be for Harry's sake. Why can't the Order know? It is not as if they are going to go around and shout it from the rooftops. They are nearly as covert in their activities as the DEs are, so they will keep all their cards close to their chests. I am disappointed in Albus. Lesley~ Author's Response: Severus already knew that he was in danger, is all. Blaise is bright, but Snape's smarter. He knows exactly what the risks are, and, better than Blaise, exactly WHO is dangerous and how. About the Order- Albus has always claimed that Snape is innocent to the Order, they just haven't believed it because of his DE connections and past. They won't believe until he publicly denounces the Dark Lord, which Albus has just ordered him not to do. Therefore, Snape's DE friends will know long before the Order does that Snape is not a Death Eater, unless the Order obtains the same information, and comes to the same conclusions, as the Death Eaters. Naturally, this pisses Snape off, but primarily because his life is less important to him than perhaps it is to Albus. Hope that clears things up, and I'll try to figure out a way to make it more clear in the text. Thanks! I love your long reviews. :0) Rhiannan |
