Much better way to deal with them than in cannon loved the parent's reactions and of course Snape's thank you for updating
Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you liked!! Yeah I never liked how the adults in canon dealt with Harry and Ron. They were eleven, for goodness' sake! You should be keeping them safe, not praising them for 'bravery' when they run off and do something foolish! LOL anyway, thanks for the review!!

I really love this story, it is well written, witty and also emotive. Discovering that a new chapter has been posted is a real treat.

Lol so are we talking a 2 weekly update here instead? I would love to see what else your muse can come up with seeing as this one is so good, loved this chapter with Harrys' response to Snape telling him he cared about and didnt want him to die...maybe he is softening towards Snape just s little bit lol :D

I think as it has only been two months since school started that Harry is 'caving' into Snape too soon. Perhaps by Christmas he should have started feeling guilty about scaring Snape but after only two months no; way too soon for a child as angry and scarred by previous adults behavior. It seems unrealistic and forced in order to move the story along. Perhaps it would have been better to come up with your own new plot instead of the troll at Halloween--not everything has to remain canon as so much has already been changed.
Author's Response: Eh, maybe. Problem is, 2 months seems too short, but 140,000 words seems like too long. I've had people say it was getting too long, too. Plus Harry hasn't caved entirely. I'm also trying to follow canon other than things changed by things established at the beginning of the fic. (i.e Harry being a Slytherin, worse abuse and different reaction to it, and Harry being a metamorphmagus and capable of wandless magic.) The rest is meant to stem from that. Since the troll thing stemmed from something RON did, not Harry, I figured it was likely to happen in my fic, too. Plus I just like it. Sorry if you don't, and thanks for the polite review, even if it wasn't the most positive.
Harry and his friends should have told an adult, true, but Hermione most likely would have died if they had, so I'm glad that they decided to look for her. There simply wasn't time to search for an adult, so they did the only thing they could and fought the troll. I'm glad that the punishment wasn't too harsh. I hope that Severus will be able to protect Blaise from his guardians. I would hate for him to be forced to take the mark, as it is clear that he has no interest in it.
