To imply that Harry is the same as pettigrew sickens me. Keep your petty, childish, temper away from my kid >:0(
Yay, I love that Sinistra got her comeuppance!
Hmph. Well, maybe that would make the woman think. Intolerant harpy. *glare*
Poor Harry - all those flashbacks. Poor, poor young kid...
Fantastic Chapter. Keep the work up. Cant wait for the next update :) Oh and I love you other stories as well (thought I'd throw that in there, lol) ~Rhiannon (avid reader, with almost the same name, :D )
Author's Response: :0) Glad you like!! And thanks for the review!! And I'm glad you like my other fic!! :0) Dude that's so weird to meet someone with the same name!! Mine's Rhiannan, but only 'cause my Mom spelled it wrong. :0)
Wonderful chapter loved the way Severus and Harry are developing their relationship thank you so much
Author's Response: :0) Thanks! Glad you like!!
This is a really great take on the 'Slytherin Harry' storyline. I think it's a very realistic approach to the situation; abused children are just as likely to be highly suspicious of kindness and frightened of relying on others. I think you portray Harry very well.

I find it a bit hard to believe that the Headmaster would condone a teacher calling children such derogatory terms such as rats, or even outwardly favoring pureblood over muggleborns. It is not proper behavior after all and these are one's customers. One might call them rat, brat, or worse in the teacher's lounge but not to their faces and certainly not in public. (Can anyone see the number of screaming parents because of this!?) Dumbledore didn't even sanction Sinestra about her language to children!
While on the subject is she a witch or not? Why not just petrify him and float him to the headmaster?
Author's Response: I would note that, for the sake of the story, and being at least somewhat consistent to canon, I allow myself to be as unrealistic with hiring practices as Dumbledore is in canon. I figure, he hired (and kept) Lockheart, Trelawney, and Snape, he'll keep Sinestra. But as you like. Personally I think magically coercing Harry to do what she wanted would be no more appropriate than her actions in the chapter.
That stupid bitch! I hate her! And I need you to update ASAP because I want to know what's happening next. And Happy "Life As Dictated By a Talking Hat" birthday. My RL b-day was Tuesday. I'm now an official adult!
Author's Response: LOL Thanks!! And happy birthday!! Rhiannan
Aww, poor little Harry. ::sniff:: He needs a hug and cookies. Not that dumb teacher.
Loved the chapter, you did a great job. This is one of my favorite stories! :D
Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like!! Thanks for the review!!
I think Sinestra just learned a valuable lesson. She will probably let Harry be for awhile, as she has suddenly realized that there is something going on with Harry that she doesn't understand. I wonder if she has realized yet that SHE not Harry is the problem. She was out of line when she decided to call Harry a rat, which I do believe is name-calling and juvenile. Harry was trying to be polite, she was the one that didn't want to maintain a neutral stance. In any case, she had no right to attempt to drag Harry anywhere, particularly not to Dumbledore. Next time she will keep her hands off...or lose them and her life.
I'm glad that Harry did talk to Severus at least a little. Now, Severus knows that he is having an impact upon Harry and that Harry is beginning to depend on him as a source of support. Harry now knows that Severus can be hurt by him, which tells him that Severus must care about him.
Great chapter!
Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like! Thanks for the nice long review!!
