Reviews For Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat
Author's Response: Thanks!! I love yours, too. :-)
Harry, as an abused child, is well written in this. Hopefully, by the end of the first year, he may find that he can trust. Of course, then he will have to go back to the Dursleys. However, I imagine that Snape will keep a better eye on him than Dumbledore Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad you like it. You'll have to see...
Harry stared at him. This all makes more sense, now. He's just gone mad. THAT I can understand... " I love Harry there. "..I'm...not...an island?" he's thinking, and Snape's probably got the song "I am a ROCK, I am an IIIISSSALLLAND..." --- "But Snape had sounded so fierce about it, " OH! -big beam there- ---- “Well there was a time, sir, when you knew that I preferred you not lurk behind me. Since you have obviously forgotten I would advise you to go easy on the narcotics.” HAHAHAHAHA. brilliant. ---- practically "nemeses." Strange. ..I don't think that's a word. --- Kallie was back! dun dun DUN! ~updatenow -poke- -poke- I'd give you a butterscotch I stole from my grandmother, but I ate them all. I'll steal some more to give to you if you update soon. -poke- -poke- -poke- Author's Response: LOL Glad you like these. I like your list of moments that you liked...makes me smile. :-) LOL that's my favorite song... _____I'm glad you like the narcotics thing. That was my beta's favorite moment, too. _________ 'nemeses' is, believe it or not, the proper plural form of 'nemesis'. Don't ask me, the English language is weird. _____yey!! Butterscotch...hey no poking. S'not nice.
I only read down to the end of Fred & George's conversation with Snape, so I have to finish it. The little scrollbar on the side is disturbingly large, so I'm savoring it. SQUEE! -flails- Ai, you're amazing. I love the 'Induitably, sir.' BEST PART OF THE CHAPTER. Besides maybe Blaise. BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT BLAISE IS COOL. Anyhow. goin' to finish readiyingfying. Author's Response: LOL thanks so much! (Blaise was last chapter, btw. no biggie) 2 reviews for one chapter!!! Funfunfunfunfun
"Severus cracked a grin of his own, and several students shivered." - I loved that line! Author's Response: LOL thanks!
Snape is really putting in a lot of effort to keep his temper. I think he makes a mistake, though. He DID threaten Harry that he would hit him for greater infractions, and he knows that Harry is scared of it. So I think either he should admit to Harry that it had been an empty threat (if that's what it was, I'm not sure) or he should specify what Harry has to expect. With the way Harry keeps provoking him it even seems as if Harry tries to do just that - find out what would be the worst he can expect from Snape. Poor Harry keeps trembling whenever Snape gets near (and behind) him - possibly it even would have been better for him if Snape had gone ahead and punished him physically once (mildly of course), as mad as this may sound - this uncertainty is just horrible! Author's Response: Yeah I totally agree. Snape should deal with the issue more directly - he's going for proving that he only punishes when Harry deserves it, but Harry needs to know what to expect. He gets more info every time he's in trouble, so he keeps acting out. (Well, that's part of the reason, anyway). Don't worry - he'll get it figured out. Maybe not right away, but he will.
Author's Response: WOW thanks! That's a high compliment!
Snape is pretty clever, too, isn't he? I always love stories where Snape and the Weasley twins team up for somthing. Talk about a formidable team. Voldemort wouldn't stand a chance against them. I still love the Snape and Harry parts the best. They both are slowly figuring each other out and you're doing that perfectly. Good job. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to Flint next. Author's Response: So glad you like it. Yeah I always thought that Snape could find a good use for the twins, if he'd get over his own dislike. Could you imagine if he'd decided to ally with them in Order of the Phoenix?
Author's Response: :-) Thanks!! Yeah this was definitely a happier chapter than not. :-)
So thanks for a great story. Cheers! Author's Response: Thanks!! I'm so glad you decided to read it! |
