hey, this is pretty good (:
I'd really like the story to keep moving though. it's like you've placed it in a lull...but I digress.

can't wait to read the next one!

    Author's Response:

    Shige,

Thanks! I agree, I am trying to move the story along now. I do feel that I had to establish things first but now it is finally time to get down to the main plot. Glad to hear it.

WONDERFUL as always! It was great to see the boys have such happy moments. I can't wait to see what happens next!

    Author's Response:

    B00kw0rm92,

Thanks! Yeah, although happy moments don't last forever. Things will be looking up soon. Pleased to hear it.

Great chapter as always. Yes, yes, yes I would like to see more. Snape identifies with these two, abuse, and broken in spirit boys because he is also one. He was so lucky to know Lily and see what he could have "if only....." His love for Lily will finally let him make the "breakthrough" to take the boys as his own.

    Author's Response:

    Alifromnm,

Thanks. Haha, good cuz there is more coming. True, he was one hense he has deeper understanding in the area. You are correct in your comments, although it won't just be his love for Lily that will cause such an event and prgression.

I am enjoying this story greatly, but I hope you would show some staff investigation of the boys' abuse THIS year. With the clues the boys are giving, only an incompetent teacher would not make inquiries.

    Author's Response:

    Poirot,

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it. Sadly though, the involvement of the staff proceeds before or during their second year where the main plot of the story takes place. True, but Dumbledore is insisting that there is no need to inquire or investigate further and you know how deeply people tend to trust him.

I like your "silent guardian" thing going on here with Snape. Very interesting. Perceptive Slytherin, isn't he? Draco and Harry practicing the "how to avoid getting caught by difficult home life questions" bit funny but sad at the same time. Once again, another interesting chapter.

    Author's Response:

    Raven knight,

Heh, glad that you like. Funny and sad would be a good way to describe it. Thanks!

The one sentence that intrigued me the most? Where Irma Pince mentions having a son...Could that son be Severus by any weird twist? Cause that'd be cool! I like how perceptive and still Slytherin-ly clever Draco is. Poor Snape, holding back his connection to the boys. *moves on to next chapter* This Matthew fellow, he seems like canon Draco almost, so this is pretty interesting...

    Author's Response:

    Raven Knight,

Hehe, I wondered if many would pick up on that fact, although I can't give anything away just yet. I have decided to write Draco in a simular sense to who Harry is "A Slytherin and yet he's in Gryffindor and morphs into a pure Gryffindor", the hat wanted to place Harry in the house of snakes too, remember? :P. Mathew however, even though he's a bully he is actually a lot meaner than Draco is as canon, for he doesn't live to mock others and make himself important but purely to cause pain and fights. He's thrives on trouble and is just a very hateful person. But yeah, he's taken Draco's canon place as the "bully and enemy". Thanks for the review.

Great chapter! You have me really hoping that something big is going to happen in the following chapters during Christmas break. My guess is that either Severus will come to some sort of terrible realization about the boys or that he will actually talk to them about how their lives are linked. Anyway, you have me pumped about reading more; keep up the good work!

    -P.G.

    Author's Response:

    P.G,

Glad to hear it. Something will be happening during the Christmas break indeed, I wouldn't say it's big but it's certainly important and I think you'll like it. Kinda sad as well, but sometimes it has to be that way for someone to "open their eyes". He won't be talking about how their lives are linked, not yet anyway. Thanks and I will!

    -Mel :)
