Reviews For Brothers of Bond
Author's Response: Lunaz, I'm glad to hear that, thanks for the review! -Mel :)
Author's Response: S.S, His reaction to what, specifically. But sorry, no...he's not in the next chapter but the one after :P -Mel :)
I am glad he had a good memory of his parents. How clever of both boys to give the other boy the day off from chores on their birthday. Why didn't Draco get his letter earlier? The lions won't like him due to his parents being Death Eaters and the snakes won't like him due his parents betraying "old snakeface." Author's Response: Graynavarre, Thanks for the review. Draco is like Harry: has aspects from two houses. But he won't be in Slytherin, neither will. The lions may not like him much but the snakes are sure to hate him even more. Thanks, glad you think the idea was clever and Draco didn't get his letter earlier because it was easier to send his letter along with Harry's since they live in a muggle lifestyle and Harry has to be 11 before they can sent it...plus it just fits in the story beter :P. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Writeurlife, Thanks, I'm glad you think so. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Becky, Is it really that bad or noticeable? I did not find too many mistakes, but I will take the beta advice itno consideration. Thanks. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Raven Knight, Thanks. I'm happy to hear that you like the memory sequences. Lucius and Narcissa went to the Potters for various reasons, but switching sides was one of them. The fact that it was that night isn't pure chance, but they had no idea that Voldemort would be showing up that specific night, so no...otherwise they would not have been there. Will update soon! -Mel :)
Author's Response: Raven Knight, Thanks for reviewing even though you wanted to keep reading :). I did try to keep Draco as himself and only change the things that were due to the way he was raised. So dropping the composed Malfoy-ness and pureblood craze, I tried to imagine what he would be like. I'm glad you think he still has canon traits because I was hoping I made it clear that it was what I was trying to do. Because of the way he was raised in this fic, he would naturally be different but he's still Draco Malfoy :P. Haha, enjoy. And thanks again for the review. Glad you liked it! -Mel :)
Author's Response: Raven Knight, Thanks for your review! I agree, it's sad and cute :P. I'm glad you liked that memory sequence, I had it in mind before I even started writing the fic but decided to have it as a memory instead of showing the full event as it didn't fit. The Dursleys have made it known to the boys (which is one of the only truths they told them) that they are not actually related and therefore Draco isn't actually their nephew so he isn't to refer to them as such. Hense the "sir" and "ma'am" instead of "uncle" and "aunt". So yes, it is how they ordered it. Although he did try to call them that earlier on, he learnt quickly not to. -Mel :)
Looking forward to the next chappie. Author's Response: Pandora, Yes she's a right piece of work, but I found it fun to write her :P. Draco's birthday is months before Harry's, but yes...Harry's birthday is next chapter in which the boys will start to receive their letters etc. Will update later to today, glad you liked it and thanks for reviewing. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Salazarschild, I'm thrilled to hear that, and I've already written ahead. -Mel :) |
