Wonderful, wonderful chapter. Severus, Draco and Harry don't know it yet, but this is the start of the family they have all wanted. Thank you for the update!

    Author's Response:

    Alifromnm,

I'm thrilled to hear that. And you're right, although they may not know it they're certainly on the path to being a family. You're welcome.

THIS WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy to see an update!!! I felt so sorry for them in the begining, but the end was so sweet! Dumbledore better let Snape keep them! I can't wait for the next chapter!

    Author's Response:

    B00kw0rm92,

THANKS! Glad to hear it! Thanks for the comments and review.

Aw, poor Harry and Draco. They made themselves so anxious for nothing, and did all that work needlessly.

I loved the ending, and that they were so pleased with their rooms.

I hope that Snape can make them feel loved and cared for. Nice job with the chappie.

    Author's Response:

    Pandora,

Yeah, but it made things better in the end. Thanks. "Loved and cared for" may not be the stage they're up to just yet but they'll certainly be working towards it, rather soon. Thanks for the review.

This story is interesting. It would be more enjoyable if your spelling were better. Spellcheck would catch 90% of your errors and a beta reader would likely catch the rest.

    Author's Response:

    Abby1000,

Thanks. I try to work on it and I use a better program to type in now so the spelling should have improved as of the recent chapter. And I do not use a beta for many reasons.

I really like the story. It's a clever twist and well done. I think, under the circumstances, Draco and Harry are very much in character. I'm looking forward to more.

    Author's Response:

    Justjoanjm,

Thank you! Yes, under the circumstance I would have to agree. I try to always aim for that and even though they're different because of being raised together, they're still very much themselves in a way.

I'm sorry--I think I forgot to review these fics when I read them last! :S Sometimes I read them before work, then review them after work, but I think I forgot to this time around. My bad; I've been really busy lately. Anyway, I really do hope you update soon because I really love both of your fics and want to read more :).

    -P.G.

    Author's Response:

    PG,

Always happy to get a review, even if it's a bit late. And I intend to update again soon. I'm happy to hear that your love both of my fics :P

Sorry, I have been a bit lax in reviewing. Been having some problems, recently! Now, onto the review!

Wow, Snape must have superb hearing to hear their conversation from downstairs! Impressive! And, boys, I'm sure he'd be better than Vernon...

Maybe it's just me but I love reading domestic Snape. It's hilarious, and adorable all at the same time. I love it. Chef Snape. And I can see him having breakfast all ready and no one around. I can see the grumbling to himself about it too, like, "All my efforts...unappreciated!" *giggles*

Aw, poor Draco. He tries to be polite but can't hide the fear of something as basic as food being taken away from him. Poor dear! I like how Snape is analyzing all of their mannerisms during breakfast. HA! "No doubt planning to demolish his house..." HAHA! I loved that sentence!

I love that Draco likes to climb trees! Whenever I watch the fourth film I wonder where he would have learned to climb the tree we see him perched in, because I would wager that Lucius would have had a fit! *giggles at Snape* When Draco announces being able to see London! If he were drinking tea, he probably would have choked on it!

Ooh, I think it's interesting that you are portraying Draco as the protective one in this duo. I guess in a sense he still has that built-in Malfoy self-confidence. And afterwards he has a coffee! A strong one, at that! *giggles*

    Author's Response:

    Raven Knight,

I always love your reviews hehe.

Snape didn't hear it from downstairs, he was nearby. And of course he will be better than Vernon, although it make take some time for Draco and Harry to realize that.

Hahaha, I agree. Domestic Snape is fun. Your comment would be right on; "All my efforts...unappreciated!", perhaps I could use that or something similar? Hehe. And he is certainly a grumpy one.

Snape analyzes with good reason, thinking that because they are Gryffindor and one is related to a Potter, that intentional or not they will cause him much grief and headaches. "No doubt planning to demolish his house..."  was hard to write because I too was laughing. I thought it was very in-character and yet child-like of him to grumble about.

Yes! Exactly. Draco wasn't just in a tree in the 4th movie but he clearly had experience with it. It would be very unlikely that Lucius would be thrilled with such a skill and I can't imagine Narcissa being too pelased either, and yet there he was. Actually, putting Draco into Gryffindor also stemmed from that one scene, it showed a more adventurous/carefree side to him and I liked it. It also motivated me further to put him in the story. That scene was the first one I had planned before I even started writing the summary for this fic let alone the first chapter. Haha, yes poor Snape was lucky not to be drinking tea when Draco noticed London.

Yes, that's the way I thought suited them: Harry as comforter and Draco as Protector. He does have those bred-in Malfoy aspects, such as his undetermined annoyance with muggles, his confidence, determined to be important etc. Including manners and such. Snape only had a strong coffee because he didn't want to risk something...more effective, with the boys around and all.

Thanks for your review, I loved it and read it over several times. Also gave me an idea for a funny bit hehe.

    -Mel :)

You did make it unique, because too often people take Snape out of character and have him hexing the Dursley's, or making them do chores, etc, so you did good.

    Author's Response:

    JAworley,

Yeah I agree. It's not like Snape to risk going to Azkaban or facing a trial with the Ministry for hexing the Dursleys etc. People often forget that no matter how deserving they may be of it, Snape can't just do those things without consenquence also because he would never do that. He has more composure and sense than that. Glad you liked it.

Love McGonagall's comment to Snape about the visit.

    Author's Response:

    JAWorley,

Me too. It was quite amusing. :P
