This is my fifth time reading Blood Magic. I will never stop loving it. I just wanted you to know that this is the story I measure all others against.

I first read this story some years ago and keep returning time and time again because it is just a fantastic novel. I never get bored of watching the characters develop through a fan fiction which is still so honest to JKR's interepretation. I sincerely wish you would write a sequel to this, but understand that this could prove difficult if you have no immediate plot purpose, other than defeating Voldermort.

Keep writing and I'll keep reading.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I'll probably never write the next year, because there's not enough left that I want to write through in this universe, but I have written a short follow-up story, which should be ready to post soon.

I was laughing quite a bit over the tapioca and tabaco bit. Tabaco was acctually intruduced to America from England by the colonists. It was one of the few crops they were able to grow well in America soon after sailing.

    Author's Response:

Tobacco is native to the Americas and the Carribean. It exists as an introduced plant in England and mainland Europe, but is not native there. (See http://nlbif.eti.uva.nl/bis/flora.php?menuentry=soorten&id=3379) Tobacco was brought back from the New World by explorers a little before 1500, originally showing up in Italy, Spain, and Portugal. The first reports of tobacco in England are in the 1560s. (The "Precolumbian America" section of http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1079499/ has a good overview.)

What you may be thinking of is John Rolfe, an Englishman, introducing Nicotiana tabacum to Virginia, as a superior species to the local Nicotiana rustica. Although he came from England, the strain of tobacco came from the Carribean -- the plant is native there and in South America. (See http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2007/05/jamestown/charles-mann-text, http://www.preservationvirginia.org/rediscovery/page.php?page_id=27, and http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1G2-3404705547.html.)

Anyway, I'm glad it amused you.

I love this story, it's absolutely brilliant. I'm not sure how many times I've re-read it but it's one of the few out there that I like to come back to once in a while. I don't normally review, but I thought that you deserve more praise for your plot writing skills and excellent imagination.
Thanks for such a great read, I'm glad I kept reading!! 84 chapters wheww.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll be posting another story (not a trilogy-length epic, just a story) in this universe soon.

Really enjoyed this story. It was wonderfully written and had many interesting plots throughout. I of course wish it were longer and continued through the end of the war, but I think that the ending is very well done, regardless.

This was an absolutely amazing story. I couldn't stop reading it and stayed up way too late last night and snuck in reading the chapters during my breaks and lunch at work today. Awesomely conceived and excellently executed! This is going on my favorites and I will be recommending it to my friends to read.

    Well done!

    Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Sorry about not responding earlier; I fell way behind. (I'm catching up on the most recent page.) There will  be a little more in this universe soon -- not another epic, but a story.

Overall, very good.I'll rate it about 8. It is a bit too long. Better to separate into two or three different stories. And lastly, I think that Harry is a little too affectionate with Hermione.

Author's Response: Thanks. This was originally posted as a serial, a chapter or two ahead of where I was writing, which is a format that leads to length. It would be somewhat shorter if I had written it as a novel and edited it as a unit before posting, but I am not going to make any changes to it.

Wow, gr8! I've been searching 4 this story 4 years now. Hermione and Harry are not a couple, then?

Author's Response: Thanks! They are not a couple at this point. I leave it up to the reader whether they grow back towards it or away.

PS. You ever noticed that should you have rearranged the name for the werewolf coup thingy, it would've been WUF instead of WFU? =)

    Remus: "WUF!"
Severus: "Quiet, Remus!! It's not the full moon yet!!"

    x)

    Author's Response:

LOL! No, I hadn't notice that.

I'm glad you liked the story! Thanks for commenting.
