Wow, Severus sure can connect the dots here.

    Author's Response:

Severus is an extremely smart man. He has to be to have survived being a spy for the light within the Deatheater ranks. Thanks for the review.

Well we got a very evil Dumbledore here as far as I can see.

    Author's Response:

To be honest, I was always wary of Dumbledore, even while reading the Canon version. I find it very easy to characterize him this way. Thanks for reviewing!

Wow, poor Harry, someone needs to get tossed into general population in prison.

    Author's Response:

Yes, I very much agree. Thanks for the review.

Lovely update. I like how Harry stumbled over the word 'abulations' as well as the thought that he gets to have a true birthday for once. How exciting and wonderful is that? I look forward to your next update. :)

Author's Response: Yes it is wonderful. Unfortunately, part of his birthday will be the escape, but he will have a wonderful day despite it. Thanks for the review!

Wonderful chapter! I LOVE the way you are writing Harry! Can't wait to see what's next!

Author's Response: I'm really glad you like it and I have to say that I adore Harry too. I hope that I can keep him this upbeat and hopeful throughout the story, but I can't guarantee it. Thanks for the review.

I don't think it ended on an odd note. I enjoyed this chapter very much (As I have the previous ones). I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of Harry's birthday is going to be like. Blueberry pancakes and sausage links are my favourite breakfast, too, and now I'm hungry from reading about them. I especially loved the image of Harry sliding down the bannister. Bravo for your excellent storytelling!

    Author's Response:

I'm really glad you liked it. It's nice to have one's hard work appreciated.

Harry is the easy one to write about. Children that age are wonderful and full of mischief. I know that I wouldn't have been able to resist the bannister either. To be perfectly honest, I would STILL be tempted now.

    Thanks so much for reviewing.

I loved it1 I really liked how Fawkes was always Sal's phoenix and the true story behind the Slytherin founder. It makes a lot of sense that he would wish to implement such a hting, because back then most students would have not even known how to read or write, unless they were given training from a monk or priests or were a noble with a private tutor.

It's sad how people re-write history, but that's true even in real life.

I'm glad Fawkes is keeping an eye on Dumbledore and hope that he will trust Severus with more information soon.

Author's Response: I'm really glad you loved it. What Salazar asked for was more than reasonable and made perfect sense. There is nothing saying that the students had to be children either. They could have added another year of training on or something along those lines. Thanks for the lovely review.

    Thanks for the update.
I like the twist with Fawkes, and little Harry sleeping in the kitchen was both cute and a little sad.

    Author's Response:

I'm glad you like Fawkes' arrival and I agree about Harry. It's too bad he didn't realize that Severus and Arabella, unlike his relatives, wouldn't have been angry if he had gone to the door, knocked, and told them he was so tired that he couldn't stay awake. Thanks for the review.
