Reviews For Cause And Effect
I'm glad it was just a vision. But I did sort of like ghost!Harry. I guess I have a soft spot for the little boy who will always be safe from his aunt and uncle's house.
Why is it Snape's responsibility to take Harry out of a situation Albus put him in? And why couldn't the Headmaster bother stopping the abuse of Snape at home and at Hogwarts? Of course Albus walks away from just fine--glad that Snape doesn't (even though the last time he _tried_ to help save Lily he was told "You disgust me". Seems to me he held up his end of the bargain, and it was Albus who kept the Cloak that might have saved Lily). Still, it's a good story. Author's Response: I know. The securities to get into the site and read and review are amazing. I'm glad they're there, but they can be annoying. Because Dumbledore sees nothing wrong with the way things went. Albus put Harry at his aunt and uncle's, so he can't be seen taking that decision back. Sending Severus to do it makes him (Albus) no less of a man. It's the way it works in the books, so I made it work in my fic. And as for Severus' abuse while at Hogwarts, James and Sirius could do no wrong. James was the Gryffindor Golden Boy, and Sirius was a Gryffindor from a Slytherin family. At that time, anyone he could get from Voldemort's side was worth it. Even if that meant letting them have free reign in terrorizing other students. I didn't like it, but it was part of the books so I kept it. In my mind, Severus takes Harry and adopts him. He teaches him and gets him ready for life. He basically turns Harry against everyone but survival. I mean, he's still friends with Ron and Hermione and the others (in my head), but he's more knowledgeable and less gullible. Does that make any sense? Thank-you SO much for reading and reviewing. You brought up some valid questions. ~dpa06~
I'm greatful you can find solace in writing, and even more greatful you cared to share. Author's Response: Thank-you! I was pretty proud of that twist myself. Writing has ALWAYS been an outlet for me, ever since I started before I was a teenager. I'm just glad people like what I write. ~dpa06~

Author's Response: Thank-you. I was going for an angsty, sad fic. I'm just glad it decided to turn itself around at the end. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. ~dpa06~
Author's Response: I'm seriously crying right now. I never shared any of my fanfiction works with my mom, although she knew I was a writer. I was always typing or writing around her. Thank-you for saying that, because we actually both dealth with a lot of abuse in a lot of forms over our lives as well. Thank-you for reading and reviewing. It really helps me. I have nothing to say other than "Thank-you". ~dpa06~
Author's Response: My condoleces for your friend. I've dealt with death in many many forms over my short life, and it's never easy. I'm glad you didn't think I was making light of the situation, because I certainly wasn't. Thanks for reviewing. I'm glad the story was one you liked. ~dpa06~ |
