Reviews For You Can't Always Get What You Want
Author's Response: I always think that if one thing changes in a timeline, it all can unravel. I'm glad you like the way I'm telling the various stories. I was worried it was reading too disjointed.

Severus is still walking a fine line, but I like how the scene with Draco was staged...I had a hard time believing that the other three would be that careless. And I'm glad that Draco has passed the test, and that Lucius and Narcissa are changing sides as well. Even if it is for their own motives rather than purely altruistic ones, hopefully they will continue to change for the better. Liked the little glimpse of Antonia, too! Author's Response: Wow, somehow I missed this review. I'm so sorry for being so late on it. I don't know what happened.
Thanks for the comments. I really can't get behind the H/HR ship, but that's what someone requested and so that's what I'm writing. Of course, I can't see Ron and Hermione either, so maybe I'm predisposed to writing Ron with anyone but her. I'm glad you were happy to see Antonia. There will be more of her in coming chapters as well as the rest of the cast. I'm currently working on the next chapter of this one now that I finally got the Fest Fic finished. Thanks again. T
Author's Response: I am the queen of improbable pairings. Ron and Hannah have been easy compared to some of the others I've written. (Could you ever picture Lucius Malfoy and Padma Patil? or Percy and Tonks?) I'm glad you're warming up to Ron and Hannah and most especially I'm glad you liked their honeymoon night talk. Thanks for the review. I love writing the Malfoys in all their pureblood bigotry. I think its their ambivalence that I like the most. Even in cannon, they were less than pleased that Voldemort returned, even if you had to dig deep to get that feeling about them. Now that I've finished that fest challenge that was giving me fits, I should be able to update this one soon. T
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. There will be more of those three in the coming chapters, I simply needed to set some things up. T
Ron seems to be a bit out of his element in the Triage center. I hope that he will find his place and happiness. I wonder how the other Weasleys will react when they find out about his marraige? I know that they will be disappointed that they didn't get to attend his wedding. I'm not quite sure how they will react to the fact that it was a shotgun.... Author's Response: You're right. The Malfoys are in a tight spot. I doubt that Lucius would have turned his back on Voldemort if they weren't. A reviewer mad an interesting observation about Lucius. She said that people in his social strata realise that their family is the first thing that needs to be preserved. They never consider that their is anything more important. I kind of went with that in this story, but I think there is evidence of that type of attitude in cannon too. Ron would be out of his element if he hadn't had the military training. He'll still hate the blood and mess, but he'll do just fine. As for the family's reaction, you'll have to wait for that. Thanks for the review. T |
