Loved it thank you so much romance and sarcasm what a great combination!

    Author's Response:

I love mixing humor with romance.  It seems to make it more real to me. Of course, my husband isn't the picture of romance, so that might be a factor...

    Thanks for the review!

Nice ending. Reality kills romantic fantasy. So true.

Author's Response: Ha!  It helps having experiences that are similar.  I won't tell any tales though.

Love the way couples are forming although Ron's relationship is going at a gallop! Thanks for an interesting well developed story

    Author's Response:

Thanks for the kind words.  Ron does seem to be a bit precocious, doesn't he?

I'm glad that Snape is seeing Harry as Lily's son finally, and not a James Potter clone. Also, I think that Snape is seeing Harry for himself now, or at least starting to.

Great chappie Tambra, and congratulations on winning the Fest challenge.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for the review and the kind words.  I hated that Snape always saw James only in Harry.  This is my chance to rectify that.

Congrats to you too!  You won featured status, and you really deserved it. I enjoyed your story and am waiting for the rest...

Another great chapter, Tambra! Do I see some Draco/Ginny foreshadowing? That could be interesting, for sure.

I can't blame Harry a bit for being sick over the decaying basilisk. I'd be right there sicking up with him!

Hermione's thoughts were very funny and true to her. Looking forward to more!

    Author's Response:

I'm so happy you liked the chapter. Yes, there might be some Draco and Ginny foreshadowing, but they will be in the background for most of the story, if I do get them together at all.  Draco has a lot to make up for with the Weasleys.

I'd be right there with Harry too, being sick. That whole scene was pretty hard to describe for me.

    thanks for the review.

Lol! I loved the ending paragraph: reality vs idealism :)
A brilliantly constructed chapter with great character interaction and a nice balence between humour and grit. I loved Hermione's angsty over-analysing.

    Author's Response:

Thanks so much.  It's terrible when our ideals don't meet reality, isn't it?  Of course Hermione is going to analyse everything before she makes a decision.  That's just her way.

I can just imagine the shape the basilisk was in after so long...ewww. Severus certainly has a strong stomach. I'm glad that he didn't chide Harry too much on his...uh..reaction to the sight/scent of the corpse...

It's going to take time for Draco to earn the trust of the Gryffindors. The really sad thing is that he can't do much to help them at this time. I do hope that he won't be forced to participate in anything that will further ruin his chances of making things right. He is finally on the right road and I would hate to see things blow up in his face...

I wonder how Hermione will feel when she discovers that she isn't the only one who strayed? To be honest, I never quite understood her relationship with Ron. They are too different and I feel that they will both be far happier in the long run apart.

    Author's Response:

I just don't see Ron and Hermione either. They are just too opposite for any kind of relationship to work.

There will be more on Draco in the coming chapters. He's in big trouble, and we need to see if he can resolve the situation without outing himself.

Thanks for the review, I really needed some cheering up.

haha, the sick doesn't go with her goddess... Great stuff! I really liked the interplay between Snape and Harry and quite enjoyed the Weaslette and Malfoy, lovely together they could be. I am really enjoying this journey you're taking us on. More please.

    Author's Response:

I always thought that Draco and Ginny would make a striking couple, but I've never actually paired them in a story. I'm glad that works for you.

Something like the sick scene between Hermione and Harry happened to me when I was a kid.  I can laugh about it now, but wow, then it was just devastating.... and gross.

    Thanks for the review.
