Reviews For You Can't Always Get What You Want
I wonder what Lucius' choice will be? He has a lot to consider. There is no doubt that Voldemort is insane and a danger not only to his enemies, but also to his allies. Lucius will have to decide what is most important to him, following his crazed leader to ruin or safety and security of his family and friends. I hope that he will choose wisely. Great chapter! Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked the chapter. I hated the tramping about in the book. I wanted Harry back at Hogwarts. Lucius does have a great deal to consider, including how his actions will affect his family. Keep your fingers crossed that he'll make the right decidion. T
Best line ever!! Poor Hermione. I'm glad that Harry stopped being so stubborn. I think that Snape had a moment of pity for Harry, when Harry reminded him about being starved as a child by Petunia and Vernon. I think that it's cute (don't tell Snape I called him cute), that Snape is actually taking care of Harry (and don't tell him that I said that he's taking care of Harry--actually...don't tell him that he calls him HARRY either). Great job Tambra. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Snape and Harry interaction, and I must admit, that you write Lucius so well, that I actually like him! Author's Response: I have to admit that if Jason Isaacs hadn't Queened Lucius up for the movies, I'd probably dislike Lucius a whole lot more. I did feel for him in the last book, but before that, he was a bit of a villain. Thanks for the comments, and I won't tell Snape a thing. Besides, I have to keep him happy for my hag story. You know, he can be a bit of a diva sometimes. T
Author's Response: Thanks. I hope you keep reading. T

I can't blame Severus for his reaction to Narcissa's proposition; she ought to have known better. In the end, I think that he would have helped them anyways, but I can understand his hesitation. He has already bent over backwards for their family far to much already. I hope that Poppy will be able to help Lucius and that his family will be able to escape this folly that they are caught up in. You know what they say about hindsight being ever perfect? Well, Lucius now knows that he should never have put his lot in with a madman. Personally, I'm glad that Harry was able to convince Hermione to not obliviate him. Her canon relationship with Ron never made sense to me and neither did Harry's with Ginny. Talk about mismatched couples! Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review. I'm glad you understood Snape's reaction to Narcissa. It's unfortunate that she felt that bribing him with sex would get her the answer she wanted, but given the situation she finds herself in, it is understandable. Narcissa will have to deal with the consequences of her actions later. I have to admit, I do have a soft spot for the Malfoys. They are vile bigots who won't hesitate to do horrible things to get what they want, but they love each other. I find that fascinating somehow, that dichotomy. I'm glad you're happy about the Harry/Hermione situation. I really want to explore what that might mean later in their lives. Thanks again, T
Author's Response: I love to look at things from different perspectives. I'm glad it wasn't distracting to you. Thanks for the review. T
I dislike the end of DH and abhorr the Epilogue, but this might be a worthwhile development, I am curious now what will happen when Albus tinkers with time? . Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione - two marriges of potential doom. You offer at least an out for Harry in this first chapter (Yeah! Great! Leave Ginny, get a life Harry!) and I cannot imagine Hermione ( a studious, ambitious person) staying in a boring, suffocating, loveless marrige forever. Rons behaviour during the marrige and especially at that new Years party is unacceptable. I am glad that Draco is so happy with Astoria. I am impressed about your descriptions of Albus and Severus. Author's Response: I"m glad you liked the first chapter. I've actually written very little of Harry and I've always written him with Ginny. I like the ship, but I do think that they were way to young and inexperienced to make a marriage work. As for Ron and Hermione, I see their marriage going along those lines. Hermione would forgive people and this would be a blow to Ron's masculine pride. I love a flirtatious but devoted Draco. I think the boy probably went through some he** to get to the point he was at by the Really Awful Epilogue AKA Nineteen Years Later. I do have a bit of a soft spot for all the Slytherins. Blame it on the bad-boy complex. Thanks for the compliment on my portrayal of Albus and Severus. I have written Severus more than I have any other character and I'm glad he comes off in character. Thanks for the review. T |
