Aw, that was so sweet. I think that Snape is starting to really care for Harry. Harry sounds so small and sweet. I want to just hug him. Lol! I think that Snape does too|! :)

I'm really loving this story, and some of the lines were classic!!! Making Harry do lines, under the guise of practicing his cursive writing was just too Snape-like.

Poor Amy though; how awful to be tortured like that as a child--so traumatic.

I just can't wait for more of this wonderful, exicitng story.

There are only a couple of stories that I like Harry de-aged--most I don't care for, but yours is definitely one I'm enjoying very much!!! :)

Really awesome chapter! Such a very sweet six-years-old Harry!

So cute little scenes, like Snape lifting Harry on his lap.

Poor Amy! Must have been horrible for this little girl in the cave!

Wow...that was...almost disturbing. I did like seeing little Harry though...and hearing him say that Snape was a death eater who kept the boogeyman away made me smile. The fact that it was said with admiration...couldn't help but feel good. But the last part of the sentance was what really got me. He keeps me safe from the boogey man...that says it all. He feels safe and content in his 'dad's' arms.

AW I really like little Harry and for a man with no children he does have natural parental instincts, he just doesn't trust them yet. Now that he has the information does that mean they go back to England, or do they get to have more holiday time?

In the end, Harry did end up being the key to getting Ms. Benson to talk. I do like that Harry decided to allow himself to actually act like a child for awhile (even if it was just to annoy Severus); he had precious little time during his younger years to do so.

I wonder what Severus is going to do about what he heard during Harry's nightmare? Will he confront Harry and attempt to get him to talk openly about his childhood?

Oh, that was a sickening image... especially for me, since I'm deathly afraid of snakes and creepy, slithery things.
I really enjoyed that bit about Harry's dad keeping him safe from the boogey man, and Snape having the automatic reflex to card his fingers through Harry's hair.
I can also see the bit of Russian lineage (the pale skin and sharp features are more typical of Russians than the English)

    Author's Response:

Sorry 'bout that. Compared to some of the other 'tortures' one can find in other stories, I thought it wouldn't be too bad. Something a demented ten year old would think was a power trip.

    And thanks :)

Okay, the only thing I can think of to say is that I love this story of yours SO much. Seriously. With every chapter it gets better and better.

Snape comforting Harry after his nightmare was such a good scene and I enjoyed the interaction between them the next morning as Snape asked about the nightmare. And then letting him sleep on his lap in the afternoon was just precious. It's all so lovely, I don't want it to end.

You seem to have a great grasp on Amsterdam and traveling and such, which is really nice. It adds a special touch to the story.

Well, I could go on and on, but I've probably said enough for now.

Such a great chapter! I'm looking forward to the next part already. ;-)

    Author's Response:

Thanks!  I'm an expat and just left Amsterdam after a few years of living there. All the places that I've mentioned (with the exception of a few upcoming wizarding ones) definitely exist - the Athenaeum Boekhandel is one of my favourite bookstores and you can see the giant chess board from google maps if you zoom in enough on Max Euweplein at the top corner. It's a great city to explore. :)

And don't worry, the story is not even close to being over. ;)
