The memories made me uncomfortable, they made me feel real sorry for Snape and Harry. I just wondered why Harry needed so long to realise it is his mother as a child he sees in Snape's memories even if he only knows her from photographs. I thought the ending was good, and also the last sentence with Snape speaking to Lily's ghost.
Finding Harry's grandparents was an interesting twist. Especially since they know and are fond of Severus and invited him as well. I liked the memory of Severus and Lily talking and her laughing about Snape hating her children if she married someone else. It took a while but he finally got past it. That was a good story with an interesting concept.
And now they both understand. So Dumbledore had nothing to do with the incident. This may be a typo but the instrument probably sat inert on his desk, not inane.
Interesting coincidence that Dumbledore left the room just before this all happened. Did he set it up so the two would begin to understand each other? Looking forward to finding out.
Snape must be horrified that Potter, of all people, is viewing his worst memories. At least, he and Harry are interacting more.
So far, this must have been a revelation for Harry to see how Snape was raised. I'm not sure if Snape is getting anything out of it but miserable memories at this point.
Interesting start. I'm looking forward to finding out where they are and how they got there. This may prove embarrassing for Snape if it is his past.
They left Petunia because Lily died. Hm, I guess it would make her bitter.
