Oh yeah... I was going to say how nice it was to see Draco serious about his child, and how Draco would be a good role model for Harry. He definitely will! That's definitely his character. Nice. The friendship between Harry and Draco at the end seemed a little fast, it makes sense that it would happen, but it would have been nice to get more thoughts about how it occurred or another scene. I wonder what Susan thinks about it too. I like that Susan's father apologized. I liked that Snape has decided to claim Harry as his son. :) Will Draco's parents really write him out of their lives? What about his mother? Poor Draco. Did Susan have other medical witches or something around? She must have had magic in her birth because it was so fast! :) An hour and a half. I really liked how the story ended, and the last lines from both Snape and Harry. I liked the name Aster, it fits with the Malfoy theme. It's not needed to explain the scripture so thoroughly though. It did make me understand and appreciate the title of the story, good job on picking the title. Did you get flames (online reviews) for using the scripture before? No one should flame you for that or being a Christian. :( Maybe on fanfiction.net, but not here. I don't know, whenever I see people write "I'm such and such so don't say anything bad to me," it seems like they are asking for a troll to find them. I guess it's like advertisement saying that it would bother you. There are people out there who just like to bother people, and they would jump all over that. Many authors use scriptures as quotes in story, if they are Christian or not. I find it interesting though that with the Christian sentiments that your story deals with an unwed mother without condemning it in the story. Usually the two don't go together. By the way, this is really cool: the field is the Kingdom of God, like you said, but the wheat and tares are symbolic of people. :) Wheat and tares look really similar at first, and you can't tell them apart until they are more mature. But when they are more mature trying to pull out the tares will hurt the wheat (pulling some wheat out, hurting the roots, ect.). This is symbolic of all the people in the world: The bad people are left in with the good because you can't tell which will turn out which way. :) And then once you can tell them apart they are still growing, and it would hurt the good people to just kill all the ones that aren't good... Neat, huh? It was an interesting way you interpreted it though, and worked well for the story. :) Thanks for writing the story to completion! It was a wonderful ending. I have to say that the last two chapters were my favorites. Author's Response: Yeah, the flames don't bother me so much per se but they get irritating after a while. I get flamed just for reading my Bible in a public place even if I'm not saying scripture to anybody. And then I get flamed online on forums for having a scripture in my signature, or get flamed on my Christian blog, for being a Christian.
To answer the question about an unwed mother: There are a lot of Christians out there with a holier than thou attitude. They like to look at the sin of others and condemn it while ignoring the sin in their own lives because they think that some sin is worse than others. They don't read their Bibles and don't know what it says. According to the Bible a person is married when they do three things 1)Leave the father and mother, 2) cleave unto their partner (this means to commit) and 3) to have intimate relations. There were no preachers back int he day to marry people, and no marriage licences, just God, the man, and the woman to be married. Technically Draco and Susan were married at the time (before Draco found out about the baby) because they had promised to do all those things. In any case, God forgives all sin if asked. I really don't like it when people bash on 'unwed' mothers. As for the short birth, when I have birth to my daughter I was in labor for 24 hours. The actual birth only took a short while though. And some women give birth really fast while others take a while. I just assume she's one of those, lol, and that maybe she'd been in labor for a while and didn't know before Draco rushed her to the Hospital Wing. As for who else was around, there was just Madam Pomfrey, Harry, and Draco, and Snape was outside with Dumbledore and McGonagall until it was over. Lol, Snape sent Harry and Draco in to view it but he wanted no part in it, lol. And I think Draco being traumatized by seeing all of that is accurate to a lot of men out there... my husband included, lol.
One more question and then I'll stop writing this super long response: Draco's parents, both of them, really do not want anything to do with their son ever again. Keeping with their character, they are unforgiving when it comes to what they considder blood traitors, for which they now considder Draco one. And I didn't really want Susan's parents involved too much, even though they do visit and help some. Mostly I wanted Draco and Susan to be self-reliant and reliant on Harry and Ginny and Severus.

Author's Response: Because not everybody is as open minded as you. I get flamed all the time even if I'm not quoting the Bible to people. One guy at my college saw me sitting by myself reading my Bible and came up to me and started telling me how stupid and naieve I was. There I was minding my own business and he comes up and starts shouting at me for like, five minutes. So I'm cautious now as you can see. I also get non-christians coming onto my blog telling me how idiotic I am etc etc. As a Christian I love to talk about God and people get angry because they don't. I'm fine with them not wanting to hear about it and then I don't talk to specific people about it, but that doesn't stop random people from hating on me over it. Just didn't want any flames here was all. This P and S community is wonderful and I didn't want to see flames from it.
