Thank you so much. What a lovely story. I think this story will be a part of my personal Christmas observance for years to come.
I've never been able to understand some folks objections to HP. It seems to me to be a treasure trove for morality tales, object lessons, and examples of biblical truthes in modern living.
And I have always seen Severus as a type of Saul/ Paul.
This was the best Christmas present I've recieved so far.
    Thanks again.

Author's Response: Wow! What a massive compliment! THANK YOU!!! (I'll feel a bit like Snape, waking up every Christmas to be a part of your celebration! ;-D) // I think fanatical people blindly believe what is preached to them by others who also haven't bothered to investigate HP firsthand-- my aunt is one of the fanatics, and I have NOT told her I'm writing fanfiction, since she warned me that I should not be reading the books or watching the films. I believe the objections come from the verse "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." (I don't know where that is located; I don't play scripture ping pong, if you know what I mean!) If JKR had called her characters "magicians", probably nobody would have batted an eye. But witches and wizards-- oh, boy. But I absolutely agree with your assessment of the texts! // Merry Christmas! And thanks again!

Wonderful story. You had me in tears this Sunday morning. Yes, Jesus is there for all people, magical as well as muggle! Thank you.

Author's Response: You're welcome! Would you believe I actually wrote Chap 1 last December, and I didn't write Chap 2 until this November? I had it all planned in detail, but I didn't finish the story for some reason. I'm really glad you liked it-- now I know my writing was time well spent! Thanks so much for the review! :-)

Awe...very nice, Shadow. I like how you show the religious aspect of Christmas with Snape and Lily. Though, I must admit Snape in a mirror is kind of funny. It reminds me of the mirror in that Disney movie. :D I love it, Shadow. Merry Christmas to you, too. :D

Author's Response: As in, "Mirror, mirror on the wall..." ? HAA! I'd never even thought of that! Tho' now that you mention it, it seems the sort of thing that... (>Ooohhhh! Plot BUNNY! Plot BUNNY!!! Something for the back burner! I may get back to you on that! Hee!!!<) Glad you liked "Star", & thanks so much for the review! :-)

Just beautiful. Thank you so much for a wonderful Christmas story with my favorites. You did great justice to both of these characters. Happy Christmas to you!

Author's Response: I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the story! And many thanks for taking the time to review BOTH chapters! Now, all I need to make my Christmas complete is Sev with a BIG RED BOW...!

Oh, very nice chapter, Shadow. Poor Harry for having so many questions not answered, but that was how he was in canon, wasn't it? I must say I am very interested to learn how Snape was there in the Potter residence with Lily during Harry's first Christmas. :D Onto the next chapter...

Author's Response: Hee! Yes! Both you and Harry will have your questions answered in Chapter 2!

Excellent first chapter. You made me cry when Harry said "hang a shining star, Harry" and knew it was his mum who said it. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas story so far. On to chapter 2.

Author's Response: You might find it hard to believe, but there were several places in this story that had me crying as I was WRITING it by hand! Later, I found myself tearing up again as I typed it on the library computer! I'd wondered if I was really losing it! Thanks for letting me know that YOU also found the story so emotionally moving! *hands over a purse pack of tissues* ;-)

*smiles waterly* Kudos on a very well written story. While I don't believe it was on Christmas, I do believe the message. Whosoever believeth. Thank you for writing this.

Author's Response: It might not have been ON Christmas, but the message is the reason BEHIND Christmas! Snape was emphasizing to Harry that Wizards are included, too, when he quoted from John. I'm so glad you liked the story! Thank YOU for reading and reviewing! *passes tissues* ;-)
