I liked it but it seemed a little bit rushed. I realize it was a oneshot but I think it needed to ether be longer or the end needed to be a little bit more open. The conflict was just resolved way to quick in my opinion.
Author's Response: Thank you. The ending was very hard for me--I really wanted to add more, but every time I tried to it would turn into something that would beg me to make it a longer WIP story and I don't want to commit myself to such a task. It was meant to be a snapshot of sorts--Harry is hurt, Harry's injuries are found out, some action is taken. I am considering a companion piece that will add a bit to the ending from Snape's POV so hopefully that will balance it out.
more? Please? We need to know what happens next!
Author's Response: Thank you! I am working on the next installment of an old WIP of mine, but after completing that I am not opposed to adding a companion piece to this. :)
Cuteness! Dudley was so mean! But i was very happy with the ending. it wasn't conventional Snape-adopts-Harry but i liked it!!!
Author's Response: Thank you! I know the whole 'Snape finds out about abuse and takes in Harry' bit is very common and while I love reading them I knew to make that plausible this would have turned into a much longer and slightly cliche fic, and I wanted to do something a bit different. I'm glad it worked!
