Great chapter-- I really enjoyed the nuance of characterisation here, riding the line of manipulation and candour and grief between the two men.

Great chapter and opener! Lot of mystery and obscure conversations to twist the story in many ways. Can't wait for the next installment
Author's Response: Thanks! You don't know how much it means to me to have such a wonderful review. But I must admit, I don't do well on 'obscure'... Lol. This chapter was a surprise even to me. :) I'm hopelessly stuck on the next chapter though. So, I'll do my best and try to update soon. :) Thanks again!

IT's well done, but confusing.

I'm actually trying to be not too obvious, but I think I failed in the second chapter I'm struggling to write right now. *sighs* Perhaps a few pointers? But now I'm energized again! :D Thanks again!

I like!! Oh, and if you're having trouble writing, try it by hand, preferably with a pen and notebook that you like - it makes the writing feel less permanent, and can help with writer's block. It also just helps me think differently.
