Oh no, I wonder if Dumbledore knew all this time. If so, he has a lot to answer for.

Nicely characterized version of Snape, :) And again, no typos! *happy sigh*
Poor Severus, sucks to be him. So Harry's worst fear will come true - he will have to spend the summer with Snape. I'm sure they will both be thrilled. I know I'm looking forward to it!
Severus Snape...Hufflepuff. Genius :)
So, is Lucius inviting Hermi for tea at some point?
Snape a Hufflepuff?? LOL I can't to read about their reactions!
Not to be mean, but my personal preference is that I don't like reading flashbacks, so I find myself just skipping over them. I would rather just read the sequence of events straight through rather than forward then back, forward then back. A flashback every now and again isn't bad, but so far they're all over the place. Otherwise I'm enjoying the story.
Author's Response: nah...You're not mean at all. To be quite honest, they are the only parts of the story I wish I could get rid of or find another place for. But it would make rewriting this story even more of an undertaking than it already is and the information contained in them is vital. There are a few more, but not many. After chapter nine, they're pretty much gone, so hang in there. I'm happy that you're enjoying the story otherwise. ~Missyann

I love how you can get into Severus' mind so perfectly. His thoughts and emotions are completely in character, though I never quite pictured him as a Hufflepuff, loyalty notwithstanding, lol.
I loved how you pointed out Dumbledore's Slytherin qualities, too. Actually, though he's certainly brave, Dumbledore does almost strike me as more Slytherin than Gryffindor. He's definitely manipulative and knows how to get his way. And he's more brilliant than any Ravenclaw, and loyal and hardworking too. He really embodies all the Houses, doesn't he?
I'm glad you went into detail about Lucius' motives and Severus teaching Harry Occlumency during the summer is certainly going to be interesting.

A well written story. One bit of nitpicking: "Coup de gras" means "stroke of fat". The correct term is "coup de grâce" which means "stroke of grace".
Author's Response: Whoops! LOL! It's fixed. Thanks for catching that and thanks for the review. Glad to see you're enjoying the story. ~Missyann
