I just realized that I’ve read this story before! It’s so good, I was drawn in just like the first time around. The idea of a second string team is fantastic. Harry is in an awful place and you’ve described his despair so well.
It took me so long to work up to reading this chapter because I didn't want to know Snape's reaction to Harry showing up for his Quidditch practice.

I love this Harry. My heart hurts so bad when he just kept going back and sitting there in the cold waiting and hoping for a chance to play. I wanted to scream why do you keep going back but I knew why and it just hurt my heart all the more. Brilliant chapter! And the end there with Ron giving him the coat was a nice touch. Can't believe his vault is empty or near empty, he had so much! What happened?
So, Snape starts to notice that theres more to the story.
I didn't think Harry would be able to stay away from flying after he got kicked off the quidditch team. I wonder if Snape figured out why Harry stole Ron's coat?
Interesting. More please.
Oh poor Harry. I hope that Snape can get to the bottom of what is bothering him.
Maybe Ron is brighter than we give him credit for; of course Ron is not rich either, so maybe he suspects that Harry didn't have a coat.
Wow! I read the first three chaps straight through, and I'm really eager to see where you take this story! And boy, does Snape exactly how to push Harry's buttons! This is an intriguing twist on the usual Detention-With-Snape storyline. I'll look forward to seeing in which direction their relationship develops. Terrific start!!!
This is really good so far. So, if Harry trying to make everyone hate him so that he can distance himself from them so that they will not die under his watch as Cedric did? Because this is fifth year, right? So it is right after Cedric was killed. Anyways, I really liked this story and I cannot wait until the next chapter!
Author's Response: This is the sixth year, but good guess.
