Wow! That was a very realistic flooding of the dungeons. And, of course, I'm worrying about that poor cat... Also, trying to puzzle out where the water is actually coming from, since they're above the level of the Black Lake when they've reached the main floor. (At first, I thought the Slytherin Common Room had sprung a leak, being beneath the lake.) Guess we'll find out, huh?!
Ah! This is so good! ...but what happened to the cat on the table? *gulp* Did it drown?

Great start thank you good tension and IC
Ugh. A sudden flash flood at night. That's creepy. I am looking forward to finding out where it came from. Black Lake? The Slytherins would be the first to be affected since they are in the dungeons but it sounds like the rest of the school will know soon.
whole crap. Where did all the water come from and where did Harry go? I am so glad you have chapter 2 up already.

I really like this story so far! Hehe, classic Harry and his "saving people thing." JA Worley, I've found your stories are always very well written. I'm looking forward to more of this one!
What a treat! I can't believe yet another person answered the challenge! Oh my, and what a good start too! Totally gripping, and now I'm asking myself what started it all! I liked how Harry saved Draco. It is definitely fitting of Draco's character and background that he can't swim. Besides, when would a posh pureblood have to learn anyway? I love your banner too, by the way. Just looking at it really set the scene for the story, and as I was reading I felt like I was there. I also really liked how Harry discovered the flood. Definitely worth a ten! I am super excited for more!
Author's Response: Awesome! I haven't decided what started the flood yet. Ch 2 is posted though! Thanks for the challenge!
You've done it again, JA. Great writing, great descriptions of the scene, the actions and emotions. A suspenseful start, intersected by bit of humour. I love it from top to bottom. I hope you keep up the humour, you've done a really great job here with it. Malfoy floating on a table, his disgruntled reaction at having to share it with a cat. Oh the imagery! LOL. A+
